Coach Miller told the staff and players yesterday.

 

I always had positive interactions with Coach Miller. He was a standout athlete at Carroll Co HS back in the day. Sometimes this just doesn't translate into coaching, though.

I hate to hear that. I had the opportunity to coach his son Brett and with Dave for 4 years. I always thought he had a mind for the game.

I have alot of respect for him. He coached my 2 brothers and came to the hospital when my father passed away....

Wonder if he is thinking he is done or is going to go somewhere else. I played for him the summer before my freshman year of high school when he was the coach at Pineville. I considered going to Pineville at the time, then Whitaker was hired at Bell Co. Don't know if it was a good decision or not.

 

Anyway, if he wants Coach Miller will resurface somewhere. Always a nice guy and you hate to see him go.

Miller is a good father and now a good grandfather. He has dedicated his adult life to helping kids. I would like to see him find a place to coach in the 16th.

I think it would be nice to get him back at Ashland as an assistant, but I dont see that happening. He deserves a head coaching job at some school.

I Can't say that Dave is a great coach... I can say he is a good man and a good friend... I get the feeling he was done in by his need for his team to be as good as they could be or maybe better than they could be.... I know he thought an awful lot about every single one of them, from his conversations.. I don't think you will find a better person.... I get the feeling he was done in by his comrades....
