Stewart threw against Bwood in the district seeding game, and Bwood won. I don't see HC coming up with anymore than three runs versus Smith unless the defense is god awful.

Josh Bertke CJ Bertke Zac Larrimore Michael Colosimo Those are the main sophomore contributers to the Tigers. CJ DH's in the 1 hole. Josh plays a good third base, pitches well, and bats 2. Zac Larrimore started most of the season last year at SS and bats 6 hole. Michael Colosimo starts 2b and bats in the 9 hole and usually has a couple of good hits game in and game out.

He did not see much time at the Varsity level last season simply because there were many good seniors ahead of him at his position. (Snyder, Chuckwagon) I was told by many Beechwood players that he is one of the most dedicated, hardest workers on the team and that he is making many improvements in the off season. Look forward to seeing him play next season.

I agree with the statement. Isler had everything working and Smith had to deal with diversity. Great pitching by both pitchers and hope to see them again in regionals, because Smith will more than likely be pitching for HC in the first round of districts. And if there is another pitcher better than these two in NKY, then I am in shock.

Kyle Daniels from Beechwood should be added to the top ten IMHO.

I doubt Beechwood has ever done that because this season during basketball was the 2nd and 3rd time EVER Beechwood has beaten CCH in basketball.

No Beechwood players? They only have 4 upperclassmen and 1 freshman on their varsity. Which leaves about 8 players on varsity, a team that is right in the middle of the pack.

Actually 6, and he only gave up 4 hits. But hats off to Isler for not letting many Bwood runners. Anybody clock these two pitchers?

I'm not familiar with the Lexington area. Is the poll biased or are the teams just that good?

Tough loss for the Tgers. Couldn't rack up any hits all day. Well done by the pitcher and the catcher(I believe Hitchcock) mixing up the curveball and fastball all game. Really had the Tigers on the back of their heels.

Monday at 5. When I know for sure, I'll verify it. Also, about the competition between HC and Bwood. Bwood will have a tough schedule this week with CCH Conner Ryle Scott. And it doesn't matter how you've played throughout the season. The team with the most momentum at the end of the year will be the winner. And as of right now I believe CCH has the most momentum beating Apollo and St. X. Beechwood lost to St. Henry today. They just have to get things clicking to win regionals let alone make it to regionals.

I'd add Bovard(sp) 2007, and Maile was pretty good at basketball too.

This may make me sound dumb but... I heard that the game must be played by Saturday or there will be a coin flip to see who the 1 and 2 seeds are. I apologize if I'm wrong, but I heard it today and just wondering if that's true.

I would say Crane. But Crane has been away from the game. I agree that Hall is more of a 2 guard, and not a true point guard. They won't have a true pg if Crane doesn't come, but that's the disadvantage of being at a small school like Beechwood and you just have to learn how to deal with that fact.

The Beechwood all grass field dries somewhat fast. If you want to know if the game is too wet, just look outside at the next closest batch of grass. All of the dirt for the field has tarp over it. So the only reason it should be cancelled is if the grass has too much water in it.

AJ "Chuckwagon" Smith has actually thrown 2 no-hitters. The game verse NCC there was a questionable hit/error call but I thought it was an error.

Smith could be a junior, he is very young. Interesting someone finally has a radar gun in this arguement.

I believe the line up looks like 1.Hall 2.Pohlgeers 3. Fangman 4. Daniels 5. Cruse. I look for Cruse to be close to 6'6 by the start of the season and playing football should put on some weight. Crane (if he plays) could add some speed and solid point guard off the bench, but I think he'll need some time to get his basketball feel back.

I remember Lafever hit 2 last year. He did a good job by playing his role and getting the sac down and wasting Elliott's pitches.

Also, another thing I just thought about camparing the BHS and CCH lineups, I noticed that BHS's 3 and 4 hitters(Hyde and Snyder) weigh about a combine 300lbs, if that. lol

Very true. I liked the intensity Holmes played with even though they have been over matched in all three district seeding games.

So this game is not only for bragging rights for each school, but also regionals are at stake.

Has CCH played HC? If so then I would imagine the winner is going against Holmes and the loser has to face Roeneker and HC.

Does Darner bat 4th and Maile 3rd?

Look for Kyle "Meat" Daniels to have a great season. I could see him being a potential 15 ppg and 10 rpg type player. Look for the Tigers to make another strong push towards a conference title and maybe more.
