No Beechwood players? They only have 4 upperclassmen and 1 freshman on their varsity. Which leaves about 8 players on varsity, a team that is right in the middle of the pack.

Jackson Laumann 1B/SP Boone (3HR)

I'll go ahead and nominate Brad Popham © from Dixie. He has been starting since his 8th grade year and just keeps producing. Behind the dish he is one of the better defensive catchers around and he can handle the bat well too.

Have to say the the Left side of the infield for Beechwood is pretty good. That would be Josh Bertke and Zach Larimore, both Sohomores.

Travis Jones is the starting SS and leadoff hitter for Newport.Also Shaun Klaas is a starting OF and pitcher with an 5-0 record.Both are very good players,so look for them in the future.

Hempel - Ryle

Hempel- Ryle P/3B/1B has done a solid job pitching and IMO is probably the best sophmore hitter in NKY, his upside is huge. I think Caleb Lonkard should be added to the list of top sophmores. He plays a great CF, big time arm, and has done a terrific job as the leadoff man for Ryle. Also, solid line drive hitter, with good speed, and smart on the bases.

Hemple- solid player, great kid, great family!

Chris Kelly and Jake Cain will be very good up on the Hill.

Nathan Losey- Camp. Co. CF

No doubt in my mind Zach Wise of Carroll Co. Has a cannon for an arm, and can play any position on the field. He can also hit for power and average and can flat out fly on the bases and in the outfield. All that plus he loves the game.

I have not seen him play but I did hear he is a real nice ball player.

Is Cain a SOPH? Wow. He can be dominant by his senior year. You don't see many youngsters with the combination of velocity , control, and a strong breaking ball that this kid has.
