Kameron Starek from Villa is pretty good. He just does not get noticed a lot playing for Villa.

Those are the main sophomore contributers to the Tigers. CJ DH's in the 1 hole. Josh plays a good third base, pitches well, and bats 2. Zac Larrimore started most of the season last year at SS and bats 6 hole. Michael Colosimo starts 2b and bats in the 9 hole and usually has a couple of good hits game in and game out.

I have not seen him play but I did hear he is a real nice ball player.

Very, very nice, versatile player. Looking forward to seeing him everyday this summer. He came highly recommended from Mrs. Allen.

John Bjurquist 3B - Cooper. Having a solid hitting year for the Coop dogs.

Ryan Thompson from Cooper has been hitting the ball very well, over .400 avg, and has pitched well the limited time he has pitched. His last outing was a complete game win over Bishop Brossart.

Tommy Courtney for Holmes seems to be having an outstanding year.

Is Cain a SOPH? Wow. He can be dominant by his senior year. You don't see many youngsters with the combination of velocity , control, and a strong breaking ball that this kid has.

 

Great varsity pitcher. I'd say he's top ten in the region now. Imagine two years from now. Throw in his battery mate Chris Kelly and you have two nice sophomores.

Chris Kelly and Jake Cain are great players, but Brian Doyle is having a great season as well for the breds, but He still hasn't got any Varsity time this year which is a big surprise.

Sounds like there is some good players in this class. I look forward to following these players the next two years to see how they do.

All I'm saying is how can a kid that batted close to .500 all year and an on base percentage of over .600 not even get a chance of playing in a varsity game.

Varsity and Jv is a huge difference. Not sure anyone batted 500 or had a 600 on base percentage. Brian is definitely an outfielder for the future.
