  1. I'm having the problem you guys were having earlier.
  2. I saw an NIT bracket contest yesterday. It was free because, as it stated, winning the NIT is worthless anyway:)
  3. Before even reading this post I was thinking the same thing as in what UK "needs", but I have no idea as to the type of "fit" he would be in Lexington.
  4. Either go to 128 or remove an at large and go back to 64. The play in game is somewhat difficult to rationalize.
  5. Go North Oldham. I've got friends who coach there, I expect them to put out a good product.
  6. I said no. Sure I find the story behind the book of Mormon a little quircky. But lets face it if you look at the story of Jesus it can be equally questionable. For what it is worth I've known a handful (less than ten) of Mormons and I think they are some of the most deliteful, positive, freindly, and happy people I know. When it comes to walking the walk of living a life in a "goodly" manner I've found Mormon reach that goal with more consistancy and less hypocracy than any other religion group I know.
  7. Football can be a very complicated game, and in the relatively short time period from the beginning of summer practice to game time it can be difficult to establish fundamentals at the same time as creating game plans, especially for new players. Many people want to say that because Ohio doesn't have it means we don't need it, but I would argue Ohio probably has a lot more going for football where they don't need it like we do. I can't say that this is a fact but I would assume Ohio has better prep leagues than KY not to mention Ohio has a few million more people in the state. Overall KY doesn't have as deep rooted football traditions as Ohio (where it does, I don't think Spring ball is quite as necessary). For any team changing coaches, offensive game plan, or making a key position change like qb. This game less season can be invaluable.
  8. If it means it forces the buisness to pay marginal workers livable wages than I would all for it. Sorry Harvard boy, it just might mean a smaller yacht so Pedro and his family don't have to live on government assistance even though he works for you. Tie it to a tax incentive and investor in the companies will play ball.
  9. I know I'm coming on this thread late and haven't bothered to read the rest of the statements, but are you kidding me. Get these losers out of the office, let them go. Just please don't forget to snap the golden parachute before they jump out. The problem is these "best executives" stink at there job and have hurt millions with poor results they've had at running their buisness.
  10. We could just continue with the Republican method of budget management you know the "Spend More But Cut Taxes So We Run A Higher Deficit Selling Our Future Because We Are All Over 50 And Will Be Dead Before We Have To Pay Up Anyway" method. It's been working real swell if you couldn't tell.
  11. THEY FAILED. I don't disagree that they should be paid in regards to their contract, but it means the system is flawed when FAILURES receive bonuses. The payers certainly are obligated to pay them, but the receivers should be ashamed of themselves for accepting them in light of their FAILURE.
  12. I see problems with the way that the pay rates are produced, however I've seen plenty of examples where women were shafted to believe that it really exists. With that said, I have found in my life that people most often value a person at a level that is similar to the value that person sees in themselves. Women, for a great variety of reasons, often display a low level of self esteem and self worth. This, I believe, is a large part of why these disparities exist.
  13. I would argue that the republican philosophy isn't as simple as limited government, I would argue that it is "personal responsibility".
  14. How does any Christian vote for the state to kill people? How does any Christian justify the use of war for non holy issues?
  15. The republican party has some serious demographic issues they need to begin resolving right now or they truly do have things to concern themselves with twenty years from now.
  16. It is that government can work for the betterment of all people.
  17. The term hater is in regards to the methods used to describe the opponet. Did you happen to catch that I used the same device on him? It has nothing to do with him disagreeing, it has everything to do with his methods of attack.
  18. There is a difference in the way you and I are seeing this issue. You think Obama picked out Rush because he is a conservative. I think Obama picked out Rush because he is divisive. The two thoughts lead this discussion in entirely different directions.
  19. Fear makes one overreact, under evaluate, and irrationally decide. Fear as a motivation walks a very dangerous line, not one that I feel comfortable with our leadership reacting to.
  20. If your values are to create paranoia, fear, and hatred of the other party, then yes you need to ignore your values if you want to get things done in government. .
  21. I agree that he should have balanced the speech by listing an equally troublesome liberal. But I don't believe he was wrong in what he was saying.
  22. Limbaugh is a "hater" and his program gets all of its steam from creating friction between the two sides. This friction often corrupts what could be better government. Obama is correct that you can't follow the preachings of a antagonistic drug addict and expect to get government running smoothly.
  23. I was earlier wondering if anyone had "ever" had a schedule to match what will be Manual's next season. Now I see one. That should be exciting for the Rocks and fans. P.S. strongopinion- Manual (a KY school) did challenge them in three out of four games in the previous series that ended only two years ago.
