Cons: Talk show callers are the least articulate people in the nation. Don't respect coaches who win national championships. Have beyond realistic expectations of success. They show astonishment when the rest of the world doesn't revolve around UK basketball. Runs off coaches. Treats poorly performing players very poorly. Treats well performing players a little to well. Takes baskeball rivalry beyond the court even as far as state government. Have a superiority complex. Have no appreciation for the "building process" in college athletics. A larger than comfortable hint of racism permiates through. Start personal rumors with blatantly false accusations, coaches, opponets, and families. Think people remember NCAA championships before the 1960's.

I don't have optimistic expectations for next season. Any success we attain I will enjoy, I can deal with losses so long as I see progression to a goal. The last two years seemed like a free fall, by now I want to see the team playing better at the end of the season and have have a hope for the 2010 season.

I have no source. I just see all these rampant rumors (not so much on this board, but incredibly so on another one) that I want people to be held accountable if they end up false. Heck I would love for Billy Clyde to get sick of you guys like Tubby did and run to a program with rational expectations. Now that would make my day:clap:.

On a neutral floor or at Rupp I would call this one an interesting toss up. At Notre Dame UK doesn't have a prayer.

regarding the UK coaching situation. Please answer the following questions. Only the ones that your "source" has answered for you. Is Billy Clyde going to be the coach next season? Has he been fired yet? Is there a new coach already? Who is he? I just wanted to do this so that in the future we can weed out people with bad "sources" by ignoring them. So all you confidently "sourced" people step up and make you claim.

UK's problems = Fan's expectations

This is Pitino's 8th year at UofL, I believe that is how long he was at UK. Eight years isn't a short stint in modern terms. If he begins next season he will have spent his longest coaching tenure as a Cardinal. I'm curious as to what bothers you more. That Louisville fans think there is no place like Louisville, or that your begining to realize that Pitino's stay here is actually proving it?

Present a reasonable arguement as to "why" he would leave (short of retireing) and then I'll respect that arguement that he might leave.

Glad to see the Cards advance and happy for Morehead as I feel like they represented themselves well especially during the first half. I wouldn't be suprised at all if the Cards run through the NCAA the same way they did through the Big East by getting behind and pounding away during the second half. It seems like every team we play loses there legs by the 10 min of the second half.

If my wife were subject to ridicule at place it would definitely be a factor in whether I would want go back there. It has everything to do with why this is a contrived and silly idea.

I would feel bad for him, his efforts to restructure the program would take a few years in which he would get the same type of heat he Billy G is getting now but even worse do to the fans that are still upset over him leaving. It would be silly to think he would just step right in and everything would be as it was, it took time to build the first time and patience isn't something UK fans would show Pitino in a second go around.

Lets get one thing clear UK may be able to offer him more money, but not by much. UofL is the most profitable Basketball program in the country and only one spot behind UK (UNC is first, then UK, then UL) in most valuable program. UofL has every bit of the purchasing power to challenge UK if it came to it.

What a joke. Who is this clown? Never gonna happen. People forget that Pitino was hurt about the reception he got when he first went to back to Rupp as the Cards coach.

The Cards are to deep to make foul trouble be of any relevance. The single concern I have when playing a less prominent team is the "special night" factor if someone just has a unbelievable game where everything they put up, bad shots and all, go in. Morehead isn't faster, or bigger, or more talented and Pitino's style dictates that the Cards won't be out hustled. I predict a solid win but the scoring margin will be entirely dependent on the Cards shooting.
