Congrats to all of the young ladies recognized for their achievements. I bet that room at Triple Crown was overflowing with talent!!

Notre Dame will have a ton of talent again this year, but will probably not reach their potential. Nothing short of a state title should be acceptable. IMO, neither coach will achieve this.

Does it matter??

In the past, Notre Dame has pushed its stronger freshmen up to JV and Varsity in all sports. It is a big school (approx. 600 girls) and offers freshmen teams in most sports. They rarely cut freshmen.

A talented point guard like Bradley can control a game. This should be a great contest!

Notre Dame Academy has a strong 2012 class. All freshman : 3 returning varsity (Regional runner-up), 12 retuning JV (NKY JV Champions), 23 from the freshman team (that lost one match). The sad part of all of this is that there is a good chance that some very good players will not make a team because of all of the talent this class has.

What a mess!!

The game WAS closer than the score indicates. Notre Dame could have very easily won this game. I hope there are no thoughts that Highlands dominated the game. I don't believe any more than 8 points seperated the teams the entire game.

Good win for the Breds. Matchup with St. Henry should be good.

Congrats to the Pandas. Well deserving district title. Holmes never quit, cutting a big NDA lead to 4 points near the end of the first half. NDA pulled away in the second half.

NDA defeated Ryle and Boone earlier in the season. To say that they are a remote 5th team with a shot is a reach. They still start 5 seniors. They played awfully well against Holmes and were leading Sacred Heart (a top 10 team in the state) halfway through the 3rd quarter last weekend. Experience makes a difference this time to year!!!

Bradley's experience trumped Ryle's youth. Ryle will only get better as they get more experienced.

Congrats to Boone. Experience still triumphs over youth.

Congrats to Scott for the win. Good for Brossart for keeping it that close. They must have really played well.

Should be a great game. NCC definitely hot at the right time.

Once again, there are some great athletes in the 9th region playing multiple sports. IMO, there is no way to compare athletes that play different sports. This is not meant to take anything away from the Kring girl!

One of the best. There are alot of multi-sport athletes in NKY. I would put Janszen up there with the best, but how would you determine that?? Soccer / basketball / voleyball / softball / track / tennis / swimming / etc. Alot of athletes!!!

Janszen is an outstanding soccer player as well!

Still going through tests. Great kid, great family. It's a shame when any athlete (especially high school) has to cope with injuries.

I agree with bigben, but I think this was covered in a post a couple of weeks ago.

It will be interesting to see how far they make it work in the Regional tournament (assuming they get by Conner). Pressure seems to get a little higher this time of year. They are still a very young team and a couple of their assistant coaches seem to be quite "annimated" on the sideline already. Hopefully, this doesn't affect their players.
