Who's the best in class of 2012?

Notre Dame Academy has a strong 2012 class. All freshman : 3 returning varsity (Regional runner-up), 12 retuning JV (NKY JV Champions), 23 from the freshman team (that lost one match). The sad part of all of this is that there is a good chance that some very good players will not make a team because of all of the talent this class has.

This is very sad. Is there team really good or is there just too many players to fit into a squad? I've never experienced a freshman team in high school soccer, must be a really big school.

In the past, Notre Dame has pushed its stronger freshmen up to JV and Varsity in all sports. It is a big school (approx. 600 girls) and offers freshmen teams in most sports. They rarely cut freshmen.

How many Seniors did they graduate? How many Juniors and Sophomores were in the program last year?

The 38 girls that played as freshmen will need to be pared down to probably a max of 20 as sophomores, and no more than 12 by the time they are juniors/seniors. There will be plenty of talented girls watching from the stands cheering on their classmates.

And they wonder why kids are turning more to club soccer rather than playing for their school team.

What about Men's Soccer? Any good sophs you know of?
