Is Morgan really improved this year?

Maybe Raceland doesn't have a radio broadcast because everyone that would listen to the game is already at the field on Friday nights? That said I can't believe they don't have a regular broadcast, I think every team should be covered by someone. I'll pick Raceland by a TD. Good luck to both teams.

I say Russell by a few TDs. I think East will be much improved from last year as the season goes along though.

ADI preview is awesome. I just got to check out the one that came out today.

Don't see how this is a shock. I'd love to see one of our big boy teams play a South Florida or a Texas schedule. I don't think there would be too much talk about being top 25 nationally anymore.

Luxury boxes? Wow. Now I have to checkout a game at Trinity. Trinity and St. X kids are both extremely fortunate, I always enjoy keeping up with both teams. :thumb:

I think the game being at JC gives them somewhat of an advantage. I remember when Highlands had a pretty tough game there a few years ago in the playoffs. But I'll say Boyle 28, JC 14, I think Boyle is the better team.

It's in the middle of nowhere (:lol: just kidding Belfry guys), but I think it's well worth the drive. :thumb:

Everything about it is state of the art. I think the home section of bleachers is extremely nice, good vistior section as well. The scenery around adds alot to it. I can't really explain it, it just doesn't feel like a Kentucky High School football stadium. It seemed much, much bigger that how it looks in the pictures as well. I haven't been to every stadium in the state so I can't call it the best. I do think that it is easily the best in Eastern Kentucky though as far as the stadium goes. I was only a visitor when I went to a game there, so I can't vouch for how the lockerroms are or anything like that, but the CAM is amazing to go to even if you are just a fan in the stands IMO. Then again it depends on where you're from I guess. Not many stadiums even compare to it in my neck of the woods, maybe that's why us folks in EKY like it so much. I don't know though, I couldn't imagine there being 5 better stadiums in Kentucky that are strictly used for a HS team. But, I have always believed that you can't beat a big game at Putnam in Ashland, as far as experiencing a game at a stadium in EKY. It's old, the lockerrooms are crummy, but it's a magical place. I don't know if Tomcat players and fans realize how lucky they are some times. I was also impressed with Johnson Central's stadium. It is more of a traditional place to play unlike the CAM or Putnam, but it was very nice when I went there too.

Went to Belfry a few years ago for a playoff game. The pictures do not do the stadium justice at all. It is an amazing place.

Who were the standouts for West? I could not make the game for a few different reasons, though I really wanted to say hello to the Raceland members of the board since there seem to be quite a few. I'll have to catch a Raceland game at some point this season.

They don't have many kids, so they have some smaller guys on the line this year from what I've been told. Smaller and quicker guys instead of the big strong guys like Luke Carroll or Cody Roe like they've had in the past. The offensive line will make or break West Carter this season I think.

Outside of Knipp I don't think they have another top 150-200 player in the state. Knipp's extremely good but he isn't the 2nd coming of Michael Jordan.

:idunno: Top 10 in the state? Are they even the hands down pre-season #1 team in the 16th region?

Congrats to Mr. Stenzel. He has a really unique style on the court I think and I like watching him play. EKU is getting a nice player.

I had to look up the article in the ADI. Bond is one of the shyest kids you'd ever meet but he's impossible not to like. West Carter has a lot of skill guys. They're allt similar. Probably the best besides Bond is WR Cody Stamper. The line is a little undersized but should be improved from last year.

The Carter County rivalry has gone soft. During the 80s and 90s it was nasty. Now everyone is too friendly, but I guess that could be a good thing.

I'd love to say East and West Carter but the games are rarely any good. But when they are close the games are alot of fun.

I would like to see any of our state teams play a schedule some of these other teams play. How would Highlands or St. X look week in and week out in some of the tougher parts of Ohio, Texas, Florida or Pennsylvania? I love KY football but I don't know how well any of our teams stack up overall. Sure one of our teams will get a win or close game against a Cincy team or something but could they do it on a weekly basis?

I was going to have to play football from the time I was a kid. I remember being told that I was going to be a QB from the time I was in 2nd grade, even though I didn't play it full-time until 6th or 7th grade. To be honest with you I liked basketball and baseball better until I started playing QB full-time.
