Its filled with the same teams you see almost every year.

Colerain and Cincy X are the only KY/OH teams. Warren Central from Indiana also makes the list.

Glenville (Cleveland) is ranked 7th or did you mean Greater Cincy teams?

I was told with Tyler Williams playing QB, Colerain has the fastest backfield in the State of Ohio. Cards fans should have lots to cheer about this year.

Two things:

1. It's not the fastest backfield in the State of Ohio. Not even close

2. Tyler Williams has never played quarterback

Call me a negative Nancy, but I'll wait to see how they do after the first two weeks before I get too excited.

Negative Nancy, I'm just telling you what one of the coaches said. I obviously won't see every team in Ohio but a QB who runs a 4.4 40 is a pretty good starting point. I would think that they feel Williams will be fine. I don't think they would "experiment" with him for his SR season. They should be fun to watch.

No love to Highlands? Hmmm....

That is kinda strange, oh well.

Later.

Hello...BGP...Kentucky football just isn't that spectacular.

Hello...BGP...Kentucky football just isn't that spectacular.

......but how does Highlands end up on almost every national list last year, but doesn't start the next season ANYWHERE on the list?

Later.

I think you have to remember that Highlands had a spectacular 2009, but the Bluebirds don't play at the highest classification level in Kentucky-so that would be one thing.

Kentucky is not highly regarded as a football playing state.

Don't forget as the season went on-do you remember another high school team getting national publicity on the game of the week like Collinsworth was able to give Highlands due to his son being on the team? All these factored in.

If it was even, then every state would have their best team in the mix, but it isn't fair.

You have GOT to be kidding!

I'd say it's no more or less fair than how NCAA FBS (formerly Division I-A) teams are ranked at the end of the year.

You are right, though... in prep football at the 'national' level (as in most things in life, fair or not), public image, publicity, perception and politics have an impact.

Nice to see former KY coaches like Lex Cath's Bob Sphire and crew ranking at #46 at North Gwinett.

Do you think Highlands is legitimatly a top 50 team in the country, or do you think they deserve it because of their success last season?

I would like to see any of our state teams play a schedule some of these other teams play. How would Highlands or St. X look week in and week out in some of the tougher parts of Ohio, Texas, Florida or Pennsylvania?

I love KY football but I don't know how well any of our teams stack up overall. Sure one of our teams will get a win or close game against a Cincy team or something but could they do it on a weekly basis?

That was the best part. Tuning in and seeing more highlights of HHS.:lol::lol:
