Congrats to both teams. Good luck to Garrard in the next round, and congrats to Powell for their best season in school history.

Saw 2 games. Clark County over Estill by double figures, and Powell over Shawnee by a wide margain.

I know they have a new coach, the job was listed for a bit on KHSAA job openings. I also knew they lost players to Bourbon but am unaware of the full details.

Congrats to the Pirates. They have made school history this year in wins and now advancing in the playoffs.

Somewhat unrelated, I was looking at the "We are all witnesses" post and it made me think of a guy on the local news last night who was caught robbing a bank. I thought Shelby looked very impressive in the game, jumping passing lanes and finishing underneath the basket. Also very good job of leading the fast break.

The "Basketball in Booneville" has become well known around the area as people here from Powell mention it everytime they go to a game at Owsley. I believe that Mr. Brunk should get a patton! :thumb:
