What County or School is Wallace from? Prayers from Carroll Co. to all.

Wallace Bates is the head coach for volleyball and girls basketball at Owsley County. He had a very bad accident yesterday, flipping his vehicle over on a rain-slick road as he was traveling route 30 on his way home to Breathitt County. He has a broken leg, broken foot, badly injured shoulder, among other injuries. He is at the UK hospital.

 

Wallace, hang in there buddy! Here's to a speedy recovery.:thumb:

Well, it turns out the hospital in Jackson had it wrong about Coach Bates' injuries. They sent him on to UK with a report of a broken leg, broken foot, cracked ribs, and separated shoulder. It turns out, thank goodness, that someone at Jackson misread something. UK reports no broken bones, but a separated shoulder, a strained vertebrae close to the neck area, and cuts and bruises.. Hopefully Wallace will be back to work in the near future.

Wallace Bates coaches the Volleyball team and Girls Basketball Team at Owsley County. He is also a teacher ther and is loved by many students at Owsley County High. I talked to Wallace about an hour ago, and his team was visiting him. He said he was sore, but he is already trying to bargain with the doctors to let him come back to work next week. Prayers were answered. Thanks to all who responded.
