Biggest win in school history. First ever regional title after three previous losses ('67, '93, and '95). So many things I want to say but it's hard to verbalize how excited I am. Great job Golden Lions! :thumb:

Numbers bore out what a terrific defensive performance by the Golden Lions this evening. Powell was absolutely stoned at the line all evening. And no one was bigger on the defense than junior Garrett Caudill. I've thought for a while that Caudill might be the best pure defender Garrard has had in some time - he has the ability to dominate from his linebacker position. He did just that this evening.

 

Also, the limited passing numbers from Abney are a bit deceiving. Abney struggled with a stomach virus all week and was just starting to feel better today. The coaching staff didn't appear to give him as many throws as normal - likely due to the illness.

That is just fantastic.....I am actually picking the Lions to knock off Belfry.....gut feeling....

What a great game this was. Garrard came out from the get-go and put Powell in a huge hole. So excited for my Lions! No one can ever take that from those young men. Now it's to the Final Four!

How will Garrard do this Friday? The playoff on that side is a lot easier then the top half of 3A. Garrard should make it this far year in and year out.
