Any game stats? Seemed like Bourbon didn't get their play markers involved. Didn't really try running to the outside at all.

The better team won tonight. Bourbon Co is ranked number one for a reason. No reason for Mason County to hang their head. Great season by the coaches and players.

Bourbon's schedule hasn't been much tougher.

A MUCH improved Mason County team from a year ago. Balanced passing and running game. Much improved defense as well. Royals get the W.

It was both teams. The late hit out of bounds got it started. Mason coaches jumped in and got both teams split up.

Here's what happened. The game started getting chippy in the third quarter and the refs really didn't clean up the play. Mason County's Nelson ran out of bounds on the Mason County sideline and gets drove into the fence. He was clearly out of bounds. Refs toss a flag on Powell. Powell County players and Mason County then getting into a shoving match and Mason County coaches break it up. No punches or nothing like that.

Powell County radio guys were also huge homers. I was sitting in the press box and they were yelling when everything was happening.

So much for Scott running over Mason County. Royals have a great chance at a long playoff run.

The Royals defense is legit. Mason County played their worst game of the year vs NewPort.

Royals struggled tonight. 3 turnovers but Newport played hard.

Royals by 28.

Lots of talent back for Mason County. Looks like another region final Mason County vs Bourbon Co.

No talk of Mason Co and Augusta? Mason Co only really has one player graduate of last years team in Chambers and they get back Boone and O'Mara who were out most of the year. Augusta will have to replace Kelsch. But Mason Co and Augusta are top 4 teams.

Augusta's run comes to an end. Hope they win but a think Scott will be physical with them and come out on top. Scott 75 A-Town 68

Should be a great game. HC by 9.

Coach Lindsey should have won this award. Mont Co, Bracken Co, Brossart all were supposed to be good this year. I have no problem with Coach Arnold winning but Piper took a team that was 9-23 and won the District. I covered GRC this year and I know they played a brutal schedule but you can't go under .500 and win that award.
