Regarding Tim Phillips...is he a kid who at the D1 level can carry it 25-30 times a game? Probably not. But is he a kid who can impact a ballgame? Absolutely! I see him getting a chance, most likely by a team who will utilize his abilities to work in space, as punt/kick returner, receiver and as a runner.

For Trinity, I think a lot on here would agree Alan Hennessey is the best to this point. I think the discussion becomes a lot more interesting after the '08 season!

I've heard it described (and appropriately so) as "multiple". Meaning multiple formations and mixing multiple systems, including west coast, spread, pro, etc.

Not a slight on Ballard fans, but where are they on this game? Looking back over the posts, I don't see any one who I would consider a "Ballard Supporter". Maybe that's the cause for BC's lack of "real interest", there just aren't a whole lot of Ballard supporters on BGP. If we had more Bruin fans represented on BGP then we'd have more of a discussion, but we don't and that's just the way it is! No disrespect to them, they just haven't taken an interest in the sight I guess. I suppose the Bruins prefer to expend their energy on the game in other ways, which is fine. Good luck to both teams!

Does anyone know the status of #40 for Lafayette? I know he was a huge factor in the first meeting, but played sparingly versus Western Hills and Trinity.

Not to be "Debby Downer", but I think the world record in the 100m is 9.74 and held by Asafa Powell of Jamaica. But it's still cool to see Gay back in KY to be honored. Gay will definitely be a factor in Beijing.

I don't know for sure why Woodson was at the game, but I think there is a Trinity sophomore who moved in from Hardin County. Maybe there's a connection.

I have seen Trinity play this year and I would say they have as much team speed as any team in KY. Is that enough for Friday? I don't know. They will have to be pretty good Friday to pull off the win. Trinity's staff is pretty good, so I wouldn't put it past them. Gotta stay loyal to the state, I'll say Trinity in a close one.

Not to sound smart, but it's called preparing your team to win. I'm not naive, I know talent will win out more times than not, but there's something to be said about scouting. IMO it makes average talent good, good talent great, and great talent almost unbeatable. Just one person's opinion.

I believe their OC is former UK/Valdosta QB Dusty Bonner. So I would think they would have a lot of Air Raid influence. Defensively, I can't say.
