I don't know if Trinity can duplicate SK's success against the X defense. Reason being, SK had Miles Simpson in the backfield, probably forcing 8 Tigers to commit to the run, leaving X vulnerable to the pass. I don't know how X adjusted when Simpson left the game injured or how it affected SK's pass game. I think X believes they can handle Bishop and Co. with 7 guys. In years past, X has been able to do this. We'll see, it's always an interesting chess match! :thumb::thumb:

It's absolutely critical that Trinity runs the ball in this game. Can they do it is the million dollar question!:idunno:

Great crowd at the game last night, both sets of stands were completely full, plus many spectators lining the fences. Great support from the Greenwood fans, especially the students. I especially liked the large banner on the Gator stands reading (slightly paraphrased) - "Tuition $10000, Recruiting Budget $100000, Public Beating a Private priceless!"

Brilliant! My list of conquests includes 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008 and "spygate"! I am also partly responsible for Thurman Thomas "losing" his helmet in Super Bowl XXVI (placed it on the 35yard line, thus denying Will Wolford yet again - SORRY CARWELL).:laugh:

I didn't see a mention of St. X anywhere in #85's post, but it is pretty early for me!

I don't have prediction on this game but I will say this...it will be very competitive game. Male is a different team with #25 back from injury. Trinity is peaking, as usual, at the right time (just not sure where their ceiling is). It should be another great game in this rivalry. Last thing, there is talk on another site regarding Male students rushing the field should they get the victory. I would strongly discourage this sort of action by the Dawg Pound! I don't think the St. Matthews police will treat you with kiddie gloves if you do!

Coach Will Heineman was T's OL coach for the last 3 years or so, and is now coaching OL at LC. You are referring to coach Leach who coached DB at T for a few years, moved to LC and is now at Frankfort.

Did I hear correctly that there was a fight at the end of the game. If so, is that any impact on Male's game next week v. Trinity.

I believe he was referring to when Trinity's current senior class played LC's current senior class as freshmen.

I don't like to use past freshman or JV performances to determine future varsity outcomes, but the Trinity/LC frosh game went to OT if I remember correctly.

I don't have a "dog" in the fight so to speak, I was not at the game, I have not seen film of the play in question and I am not an official, so take this for what it is. Before every game the officiating crew asks each head coach if there are any trick plays that they should be prepared for. You have to assume that this particular play was brought to the officials attention. If the officials felt it was legal doesn't that make the play ok? I'm just sayin'!
