I'm not sure...but I'd be willing to bet they talked to Ormes knowing she may resign. Then after it was official, spoke with him again.

St Patrick, imho, is a sleeping giant like Calvary Christian.

 

Could easily draw players from Mason, Fleming, Lewis, Bracken, Harrison, Robertson and state of Ohio.

Money and transportation would be a small problem for most in those counties.

There was not one article in the local paper about Coach Douglas resigning. Now maybe we can play St. Patrick again on the girls side. Pretty bad for McKayla Likins, Coach Douglas promised her the world to transfer to St. Pat and it cost her a year of playing. Likins plays one year, loses first game in District to Mason, and now Coach resigns and leaves her high and dry. Tough!!!!

Jon Cummings has stepped down at Madisonville.

I read in the Maysville paper that the Athletic Director at St. Patrick said they would be sorting through applications and hopefully have a coach in place by the end of the school year and hopefully sooner than that. The read said they had a number of applicants. Anyone know of the candidates?

Likins should have seen this coming. Everybody else did. Not only have they lost a coach, but they don't have much of a supporting team returning. I can't imagine who they would/could get to coach. On the bright side, Likins will really stand out.

West Carter Lady Comets Coach Tex Engish resigned yesterday.

This is what I found on another website regarding openings around the state:

Carroll Co., Hickman Co., Greenup Co., Oldham Co., Thomas Nelson (a new school to open near Bardstown), Spencer Co., Fairdale, Ballard and Taylor Co. None of these openings have been substantiated on either the KDE or KHSAA websites, I'm just passing on what has been found elsewhere - food for thought.

So where will the job changes be this off season?

Lexington Catholic and Boyle County are open.

Boyle County??? Again??? That place has been a revolving door for quite a few years. It seems to have all the qualities that would make it a good program, but for some reasons they have not. Very strange.
