Does anyone remember Joe Seavers?
Mr. Seaver was principle when I attended BCHS. He brooked no nonsense. He held everyone accountable, both the students and the teachers. Myself and some friends ran into him maybe 10 years later when the "Star of Cincinnati" was running on a dinner cruise. My first reflex was to hide the beer I was holding.

If Augusta and Bracken County consolidated in 1998
There was also the Bracken/Robertson (Deming) plan around 1986. New high school was to be built in Powersville.

Patrick Kelsch is Robertson County's new coach
Wow!! Good for Patrick. "GG" and I will have to drive up the road to watch a few games.

Prediction on who wins state
But you did lose your coach.....

Bracken County's new coach: Jason Hinson
By taking the job "12 miles to the south" :lol2:. Mr. Grimes, while you may follow 10th region sports closely, you may not be well versed in Augusta/Bracken Co history. While both schools will support each other, all that goes to the wayside when going head to head.

Robertson County: A Look at Next Season
There was a lot of talk earlier this year about the new school as an elementary and the high school move to Mason Co. Haven't heard anything lately. But with both Mason & Fleming along with Robertson being overseen by the Dept of Ed, its hard to say what is going to happen.

Mason County 42 Bishop Brossart 27 (10th Region Tournament )
One reason - HIGH SCHOOL girl's basketball. Just look at Bracken's team this year - 8 seniors - also a highly touted group. They beat Montgomery during the season, crush Mason Co in the district final only to fall flat to the same Montgomery team they just played. I was in a discussion at the start of the season and the concensus was that a team loaded with frosh -soph players rather than seniors seemed to always be a little more focused at the end of the season. College, jobs, and relationships intrude on most players as they get close to graduation. Just a thought.

Bracken County 55 St. Patrick 53 (39th District Semifinal)
Doubt that anyone will be left in Augusta tonight.

3-Team districts and farthest drive in each district

Bracken County 5 Mason County 0 (39th District Semi-Finals)
How could it have been PK, I read somewhere he had moved! :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: wasn't it on BGP?

10th Region semi's
Yes - its 2 - 3 miles before you get to the Fieldhouse coming from NKY.
-
10th Region semi's
Yes, its easier. Make sure to use the new Maysville bypass (68 South) from AA to 68. This will save you from the longest traffic light in the world (AA/68).

10th Region: Augusta vs Scott 2/26
When I saw the draw, I felt Augusta holds its own destiny to make it to the regional finals.

Bishop Brossart 45 Bracken County 41 (10th Region Class A Championship)
We had this same discussion last night at home. Between the all "A" and senior year season loss - Arhens, Sticklen & Allison Tarvin this year, Bracken still is able to compete with the best. The girls are determined to win.
