How many 3-team districts are there in this state?

 

How many of those regions where there are 3-teams districts, are there 5 team districts too?

 

What is the current farthest drive in each district?

Looks like there are 6.

I would think that even in regions no one would have more than a 2hour drive, so districts would be shorter. I am guessing on this I don't really know. Aren't most of the 3 team districts in regions less than 16 teams.

Most distance in the 56th is about 45 to 50 minute bus drive between Owsley County and Powell County.

None in the 9th Region would be over 30 minutes in normal traffic. Districts are even closer. 35th max 15 between all of them.

Anyone drive 2 hours?

Given things such as traffic, logistics, population, etc., the 19th District may be the most forgiving in the state in terms of travel times. The four schools in Nelson Co. are no more than 10 minutes away from each other, and Washington Co. is just a 15-minute drive from Bardstown.

 

Seems like most other districts that feature multiple schools in the same city are also in cities with much larger population than Bardstown (Hopkinsville, Paducah, Owensboro, for instance) and that traffic trouble would enter into the equation there. Same goes for the BG and E'town areas. No way you can get from Ft. Knox or North Hardin to Central Hardin in less than 20-25 minutes, given traffic on North Dixie. I'm betting the same goes for driving from Warren East to Greenwood or South Warren.

Probably an hour and a half by bus.

I am thinking in the 9th Region, not districts, the farthest schools from each other would be Dayton to Ryle ( I am sure if I am incorrect someone will let me know). A normal drive probably 30 minutes. At 5:00PM on a weekday, an hour, at least. Districts, all are fairly reasonable, no more than 15-20. Traffic can be an issue, though, for a 6:00PM game.
