Ashland has a pool they can practice out of. I hear the AD is stocking it as I type this.

Won't be long before Hillbilly Hand Fishing gets its long overdue KHSAA sanction.

Can't wait to read the BGP Preview for next season.

I catch good bass out of Lake Herrington all the time. The 12th Region has the sleeper lake of the year pick at Cedar Lake (in Lincoln County).

Been there, no pleasure boaters or jetskis. Great lake.

I hope this venture doesn't get hung up on any snags.

I heard a rumor that several schools in Eastern Kentucky have added some Canadian fishermen. Their families happened to relocate recently due to work.

I can't wait to see this headline soon:

"Louisville Trinity 172 lbs. Kentucky School for the Deaf 3 lbs."

Final.

State championship trophies are in the works.

I would love to see what schools plan on having a team.

I'm expecting the new Thomas Nelson HS to be a powerhouse.

Wonder if there's much backlash with this decision?

The biggest advantage the Catholic Schools will have is that some of their all time top twelve, were indeed Fishermen even before the KHSAA recognized it as a sport, and indeed did anybody forget who has had Fish Fry's on Fridays for like forever and so who did you think caught those Fish, yep the kids in the Catholic Schools......

I might be mistaken but I believe CovCath had at one point a Bass Fishing Club!

Still do - but it's always just been a "Fishing Club".

I think they might fall into the same trap as my alma mater. While there are a lot of kids who like to fish there, no major lakes are THAT close. The WKY schools around LBL should be powerhouses. Those kids can train everyday after school, have an intimate knowledge of the lakes, and probably come from "fishing families"...
