February 22, 201214 yr Lillard (the Weber State kid) is the top ranked PG by scouts. Also, worth noting, most scouts feel Brad Beal can play the point at the next level as well. Chad Ford only currently projects two UK players as lotto picks, MKG and Davis. Weber State kid is higher than Marshall? I'm not doubting you, but that really surprises me. I guess scouts know more than I, but I have a hard time seeing Beal playing PG as his primary position. Do you know where Ford has Lamb, Jones & Teague? Thanks for the info! :thumb:

I would assume that Marshall is rated higher than either Lamb or Teague though. I don't think many think Beal would primarily be a PG, but that he would be a more valuable prospect than some due to his ability to play multiple positions.

Are they maybe assuming that Marshall isn't coming out? Or do they really grade him lower than Weber State guy? I'm honestly amazed that Marshall isn't the top PG prospect. What you say about Beal makes sense. He could probably play some PG in the league, but I don't see him doing that full-time.

I think the big issue with Marshall (and I think the assumption with him is he'll leave) is he doesn't have much of an offensive game.

February 23, 201214 yr What a couple of draft boards have. I sure hope we don't get stuck with UNC in our bracket. http://nbadraft.net/2012mock_draft http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2012/
February 23, 201214 yr Teague should definitely stay. I think Lamb should stay too, but like others have stated, he probably wants to go. Jones I'm on the fence with. If he came back he would definitely improve his draft stock. He can't sink much lower than he is now. He's clearly just not ready for the NBA, but we all know he wants to leave. Davis is obvious....deuces. I like HT's thoughts on MKG. He can't really do much more than go ahead and work on his jumper, sort of like Derrick Rose.
February 23, 201214 yr Davis stays - He doesnt have the immediate body size to compete at the every-night schedule. He will need to gain about 40 lbs of muscle. MKG goes. His body size and court spirit he will make a good match. TJ - he rwill make a big slash at the next level. Lamb stays Teague stays

February 25, 201214 yr MKG - should go, but might love college enough to come back (aka Florida's guys from a few years ago) Just a question... How do we know MKG loves college so much? Maybe the kid just plays as hard as he can and wants to constantly be a basketball player? That is what I was wondering. I believe people confuse love for basketball and plays hard with, "he loves playing collegiately for UK." Not that he does not enjoy himself, but not to the point he wants to return. His demeanor seems to indicate he is really enjoying his time. :idunno: Yeah, I was just wondering because I've never really read any comments anywhere or anything like that which indicated how much he loved college. I feel like I read things about Cousins in those regards. I really think the kid just loves playing ball and he gives his all. This. I can't imagine anyone during the Cal era enjoying his time in Lexington more than Cousins. Maybe Patterson, but Cuz seemed to genuinely love UK life. I think MKG enjoys himself, but money speaks volumes to most young men. Cuz did the right thing for himself in leaving & I expect MKG to do the same. He seems to love playing the game & I imagine he'll love it even more when making millions. “I’m graduating here. I’m not going nowhere. I’m staying at Kentucky,” Kidd-Gilchrist said, according to Brett Dawson of Rivals.com. “I’m dead serious. I don’t know why y’all laughing.” link :sssh:
