Heard on satellite radio yesterday reports that Manning couldn't throw to his left and lacked velocity. That was from people who worked out with him supposedly. I imagine that may not be out of the ordinary considering his situation, but I think it is a reminder that there is still major questions and uncertainty about Manning playing and what kind of player he'll be if he does.

He did mention that whether or not he plays again is a performance issue and not a health issue and that he still has to maintain his rehab and physical therapy for it to not be a health issue. He's just recently resumed throwing without limits so I think his recent performance should be expected for the next month or so.

I think Manning is at the point where all he wants to do is win and Washington definitely isn't the best place for that to happen.

I totally agree. I think winning is more important to him right now than money. I think teams that haven't been mentioned a whole lot like the Jets or Ravens would be much more appealing.

Ravens? Might as well not even mention them, because zero chance. Flacco success has been a lot like Manning during his first few years, coming up just short in the playoffs. Yet last year he played well enough to where they should have made the Super Bowl, but Lee Evans drops the ball. No Chance he ends up a Raven. There would at least be a chance he could end up a Jet though IMO, especially with how divided the lockerroom has become.

Talking heads last night said the team that will get him will have 3 things:

1) Really good offensive line

2) A realistic chance to win

3) A coach with the confidence to let Peyton run the offense himself

The Jets have all of these things- I hope we see the Manning and Manning show in NYC.

I disagree. Flacco's team doesn't believe in him as was shown by Ed Reed before the biggest game of the year. Flacco is immature. He whined about the media. He had a chance to act mature about his contract but instead pouted+ acted like a jerk. It's a very long shot but not out of the question. Flacco held them back this year IMO and I watched a lot of Ravens games. The 2 things I found interesting is that somebody did a breakdown on Balt before the playoffs and they said it was the most predictable offense they had seen since the 60's by formation. I also hear multiple people that broke down film say the WR's couldn't get seperation. I kind of find that hard to believe because Smith can burn. Boldin is physical. I thought Flacco+Cam Cameron both hurt Balt this year more than they helped. The problem with losing Flacco is who do you replace him with. If they feel 100% that Manning is healthy then he would probably make them the favorite to win the Super Bowl or really close!

Jets makes a lot of sense I think. Be interesting to see if they keep Plax.

Ravens + Manning and 1 solid WR = 2 Super Bowl W's.

It wont happen, and no reason to think it will. Flacco should have been in the Super Bowl this year, but on a perfect throw Evans drops the ball. Reed even said he made those comments to kind of motivate Flacco, which worked because he played better than what Brady did that day. They are not going to give up on a guy who in his first four seasons in the league have been to the playoffs each time, and to the AFC Championship twice. Even Manning couldn't get over the hump for awhile either. Baltimore is not looking for a QB, and there has not been questions if Flacco is the guy for them, like their has been with Sanchez in NY. As you just said people who break down film even say his receivers do a very bad job creating seperation. Whish is not that hard to believe, because even though Boldin is physical he is getting older and probably doesn't come out of cuts as quick. Evans is a guy who has always had potential but never lived up to it, and dropped the biggest pass of his life. Smith is a burner but that all he is right now.

Not to mention Baltimore has a very good GM. They have invested money into Flacco and he has been successful in the league so far, and they are not going to risk losing Flacco by bringing Manning in. It just wont happen, and I bet that they have given little to zero thought about it happening..When it comes to the media where was he wrong? Saying no matter what he does people wont' give him credit which is true. Saying he won't have the numbers top QB's have because the offense they run doesn't call for it. Then if they do pass a lot people complain about how Rice does not get enough touches. The top QB's in the league Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Peyton, etc. all play in different styles and philosophies. Which are all about the offense, and the passing game. Teams like the Ravens, and Steelers don't believe in that, and why they will never have QB's people see as top passing QB's. Brees, Brady, etc. would never had the chance to be consired some of the best passers either if they played for these teams for their careers. Flacco said something that was very true about the situation, and what many people don't see. Have to look at the big picture and the systems people play in, play a big part in how a QB does.

Jets makes a lot of sense I think. Be interesting to see if they keep Plax.

Now I could see that happening with the Jets though. Especially with now the team and especially its WR's and best WR not being happen with Sanchez.

Jets who I have been saying all along. Just think the Sanchez time is up...

They are only a QB away. Remember they beat the Super Bowl champs twice this year.

They beat the Giants in 2007 as well. Doesn't really mean much. The Giants just struggled against the Skins this year for some reason.

The Redskins won't be a serious contender as long as Snyder is their owner IMO.

No chance of Manning to the Jets....

My life just doesn't roll like that.

Like I said I know the Ravens aren't the first team you think of but here is an interesting article about Flacco and his contract deal:

http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2012-01-31/sports/bs-sp-ravens-flacco-0201-20120131_1_joe-flacco-ravens-owner-steve-bisciotti-contract-negotiations

Personally I hope he goes. I don't like his baby attitude as a leader. To say it doesn't matter either way rubs me the wrong way. If you look big picture he has won a ton of games but when you look at the fine print his completion percentage was bad this year, he set a career high in int's and his QB rating was his lowest yet.

He has been blessed with a top 3 defense every year and Ray Rice is a flat out STUD to have lining up behind him. He's got talent at the skill positions. I think he's overyhyped. To me he's not the bottom QB's but he's not the top either. He's a middle of the road QB. He has a RB that is elite. He has a defense that is elite. He has skill at WR (they could use more but people have it worse). The Ravens can move him or get ready to invest A LOT of money into him as the future. You better be real comfortable if you're going to do that. I think the Ravens can win it with Flacco but it will be tough. I think the Ravens are the favorite with Peyton it's that simple!
