South Carolina 66 Alabama 64

The Gamecocks win their first league game. Alabama drops to 13-7 and 2-4 in the SEC. Ky Thorobred seems to have abandoned starting their threads so I thought I'd start one. Doesn't it seem as though year after year we are told how athletic the Tide is? Year after year they seem to disappoint--there is a lot of good looking athletes on this team, I'm wondering if Grant is in over his head. Everytime the camera was on him tonight he was sitting silently on the bench.

Bama has definitely underachieved thus far.

Same story for how many years in a row? Are they still blaming it on Steele's injury?

Bama will be in the N.I.T. they are looking like the 5th or 6th best team just in the old SEC West right now.

Horn really needed this win.

I still like Alabama. They can play with anybody. They proved that Saturday. They played very poorly against Vanderbilt last Thursday. I still believe they will make a run and get into the NCAA Tournament.

I always loved the people who were wishing Darrin Horn would become UK's coach because he beat BCG.

Was this at home? They just can't shoot, but I don't know any details. Too busy with recruiting.

The talent is there, but you have to bring it every game, not just in bigger games. I hope you're right, b/c I like Grant & his team.

They will be watching the big tourney again if they don't do something huge down the stretch.

They proved they can lose to anybody last night too. They are running out of time to make a run this year, it has to start now if they are going to. If they lose 3 games or more they may likely be at home in March.

That was a bad loss last night.

Kyle Macy brought up an interesting point before the game that they have played 5 of their first 6 (or something like that) on the road in the SEC. Their schedule gets a little easier finishing up especially in the Home to road ratio. I say they make the dance, but just barely.

Another one the Tide shouldn't have lost. They better win the rest they are supposed to, if not they will be NIT bound.

NIT isn't so bad, you play more games like last year. NCAA, they way we shoot might be home soon. Did you people know that the UK/Bama basketball game was played same time we had our National Championship celebration. I think the game just ended when the Celebration began, but if you watch the game you would have missed it. Not fair timing for the basket boys. Bama still needs to control the state for players, they lose a lot of kids.
