Best freshman in NKY?

Featured Replies

Why is he no longer playing?

Another case of Mommy and Daddy getting too involved and its a shame because the kid has some talent. He needs to work on the defensive end of the floor or he wont play for whoever the next team will be.

Zach Pangallo, starting point guard on JV. Like I stated in another thread, name me the last guard with the last name of Pangallo from NewCath that couldn't run the point?????

1. Drew McDonald - NewCath

I think everyone can start thier list with the name above, now carry on.

I know zero about this year's frosh other than I've hard about the Shuh kid. Are you saying some of these kids are not from feeder schools?

No not at all. As far as I know, they all come from feeder schools. The only exception is Romes. But not really. He was at Beechwood the last year 2 years but St Joes before that, so I wouldn't consider him from a non-feeder school. He was just waiting for the change in command. I'm referring to the baseball team of Luke Maile's years. That team was formed early on when those boys were 5th/6th graders. Maybe earlier than that.

When watching this years CCH frosh on Sat, I counted 7 boys that have been playing together for a very long time and it shows. They have had great instruction and have played great competition over the years. I think this was a plan all along as was that baseball teams.

McDonald -NCC

Stanley - Boone

J. Weyer -HIghlands

Anderson - SK

Leichty - Cooper

Brock - Campbell

Schuh - CCH

Bolden - Holmes

Galvin - CCH

Moeves - Walton

J. Weyer and J. Feggins for Highlands.

Weyer is as fundamentally sound as you get and Feggins is a strong kid with great athleticism.

Noah Robinson from SK has some upside. Played a ton of JV as an 8th grader and now starts as a frosh on the JV team and has received some varsity time. He's a long kid and seems to be a nice ball handler.

Niehaus from Dixie...is he a soph or frosh?

I'd also add Jason Covington of Holmes to the list. He starts JV with Bolden.

Didn't know Noah was only a Frosh. Very good looking player for his age with good size at 6'4.

Drew McDonald at NCC is a varstiy starting post player averaging near or over double figures and playing 24-plus minutes a game.

How many of these kids start or play varsity? Hard to compare a frosh that is getting varsity minutes on a good team to a kid that is averaging 10 points in a frosh game. I know MacDonald starts or get solid minutes, but who else on this list, Stanley? I remember watching Branden Hatten score his 1,000th point as a freshman last year. There are some solid players, but not quite the class there was last year.

I'm looking for basketball players. Does Feggins have true skill or just athletic ability?

Frosh I think..

Niehaus is a freshman. Nice player that gets varsity minutes on a good team.
