LSU did average almost 36ppg (including last night's game I believe), and Bama averaged almost 35ppg. Either of those teams would have put on a show vs anyone else.

Yeah but the margin of defeat would have been bigger than 21. That is more exciting?

I prefer the college game but I think the SEC is bad for college football. Best players are from the south, the biggest fan bases (which means most money) are in the south for the most part, and because of both they are able to hire the best coaches.

Maybe the other teams just need to practice harder. :D

I think I've officially made up my mind. I'm done following college football (outside of Michigan). It just doesn't interest me in the slightest anymore. :idunno:

I was hoping that it would be a better game as I didn't plan to turn it on until the fourth quarter. When I did, it didn't take me long to turn it off. I might have watched four minutes of the game. It just didn't interest me. I watched precious few moments of any bowls this season outside of the Louisville game. That said, I'll fully admit that I'm a MUCH bigger basketball fan and have moved on to college ball and the NBA (not to mention that I like to watch at least five-to-six periods of NHL hockey every week plus a little soccer now and then). The bowl system bores me and I really wasn't compelled. Sounds like I wasn't the only one.

I'll also admit that a playoff wouldn't necessarily pull me in all that much either. I don't know what the solution is for me.

It's been a Monday night for as long as I can remember.

There were a couple years when it was on Thursday night, not sure why. Alabama/TX was one of them I think. I was thinking it was also on a Friday once but I'm not sure.

Did it have something to do with what day New Year's Day fell on? After the BCS Championship started did they just used to have the game so many days after New Year's?

^It's highly boring and a bland brand of football. Much like HS football. I still for the life of me don't understand how anyone can watch a HS game and not fall asleep within 10 minutes.
You don't watch us play much

We play Michigan next year, maybe you will watch it.

I understand how y'all feel. Your team of interest in not involved in the game so you are gonna feel this way. I feel differently than y'all, and don't give a hoot about the ratings and the Bowl fall out.

But if you think college football is going down, well you need to look at the over all attendance of these games all season.

I looked more foreward to these two teams playing than any two I can remember. Far and away the best two teams in America I think. I can see why people in the midwest/west might not care. If you listened to the pregame it was the highest people were ever paying at a BCS game per stubhub.

Probably won't watch. Like I said, college football just bores me to no end anymore.
