Its embarrasing to say the least. Its easy to be a fan when your team is dominating such as in football but if you are a true fan and have pride in your school you show up for games, especially the CovCath game. If I am the administration at Highlands I am completely embarrassed.

 

Don't think your AD cares much about "other" sports, honestly thinks he just lets them play out. Remember when the Birds were always a tough out in basketball. Used to play a better schedule as well.

This was the first Colonel ball game that I've caught in a few years. CCH's pOint guard is awesome. I really like that he is only a sophomore. Other than that, the good guys look like they play hard.

 

I was a little dissapointed in the Highlands fan turnout. Pretty lousy for a rivalry game.

C'mon man. That's what you come up with? But yes, you are correct, one of the top 4 teams in the region will be sitting home when the 9th region tourney comes around. And we'll be keeping track of how HHS does against this district. Maybe they can steal one against Beechwood.

 

Maybe is your key word here as nothing is a given with this year's version of the hardwood Birds. Very well could be one of the few years that the Tigers have their number. We won't know until Feb. 17th as it is both teams' last regular season game. By then both teams should be in their best form so we should get a good idea if either team has managed to groove into a respectable stride.

Just a thought: Take Houliston off the court for the Birds and the Colonels might've won by 37 instead of just a measly 24.

Spot on U. Just like baseball. Until our district seeds, these games are good practice for the tourney.

The Birds shot horrible from the free throw line and this coupled with the turnovers netted the final margin of victory. Congrats to the Colonels! The Birds have only themselves to blame. But then again the substution patterns did not make sense at all. Score 2 baskets and come out..... on more than one occassion.

The question I have is why does it take so long for Highlands football players to round into basketball shape.......I mean Holy Cross, NCC, Trinity players all are playing at a high level. We keep hearing just wait they are really going to get it going...........Well...........Once January hits and you do not "have it going" that does not bode well at all.

There is a pretty good little point guard sophomore for HHS watching the beatings as well..nice handle and set up specialist ...high IQ always makin teammattes better for years...sets others up....IE point guard.

and he can bury open shots... AND yup, 3 years of eligibility....When do u turn the page on juniors and seniors that when they were Frosh players, could not get off the Freshman bench?

There is plenty of talent and positiion players at HHS...plenty.
