Covington Catholic 73 Highlands 49

I too thought the final margin was a little deceiving. Highlands played pretty well in the first half and was down five and getting the ball to start the second half. Just not enough horses in the stable to keep up with the better teams in Northern Kentucky. Find it rather disturbing that Towles does not get more touches in the middle and yet True gets a touch as soon as he comes off the bench. Tobler struggled with Pat everytime he got a good touch around the basket, but they were few and far between.

As for the fans of Highlands, I would ask the students why even bother showing up? Weak weak weak effort. If this was a football game it would be entirely different. Not one cheer from the student section. I have heard that the administration pooh poohs on this type of stuff and was wondering if that is really true? If so, perhaps they need to go back where they came from and let kids be kids.

Pat had 7 points so either Tobler got lucky that Pat only touched it 3 or 4 times or your characterization is a bit off. I wasn't there so I do not know the answer. If he truly dominated then you're saying Coach Flynn didn't make sure the other 4 got him the ball.

Did Hayden make it into the game?

No. On the post-game show Coach R says he will start practicing again tomorrow and see how the ankle feels. They hope to have him Friday.

One of the worst foul calls of the night. LOL #12 got called and he told me after the game he didnt even touch him but he was amazed the kid made the basket. That was a Top 10 play for sure.

James Pouncy and Bobby ? had nice games tonight in stripes. The gray haired guy struggled at times and called a Technical on Flynn that was weak. Grow some thick skin and walk away, the coach was clearly just letting out some frustration because of his NO CALL when Towles got bodied shooting a layup.

Check out number 12's reaction after the bucket:

The cute little blonde takes the cake though. LOL

Great pics Panda...thanks so much.

I just looked at your statement as a typical HHS fan trying to come up with a scenario where your team was better than CovCath, so you had to take our best player off our team and, bam there you go, you're better than us. He's not going anywhere and we were 24 points better. No need for hypotheticals.

Take it as you want. Good luck getting out of your District.

Its embarrasing to say the least. Its easy to be a fan when your team is dominating such as in football but if you are a true fan and have pride in your school you show up for games, especially the CovCath game. If I am the administration at Highlands I am completely embarrassed.

C'mon man. That's what you come up with? But yes, you are correct, one of the top 4 teams in the region will be sitting home when the 9th region tourney comes around. And we'll be keeping track of how HHS does against this district. Maybe they can steal one against Beechwood.

How big is PT going to be after the UK S&C coach gets a hold of him!

I believe I heard backup PG and ace WR Clint Massie had 8 boards tonight.

Not sure what your deal is man, I always compliment your broadcasts. You need to grow some thicker skin like the gray haired referee and not get so upset and defensive.

Its is a fact, you guys could be sitting at home due to the tough district you all are in. We will try to steal as many wins as we can, thanks.

and to you also Q, that is if you don't get that lucky draw!

Ok, ok, I know you're a fan of the broadcasts. Just call it punch drunkeness from 5 years of football futility. You're still my man Q.
