I think it fits the description pretty well. Season 1 is great TV. Season 2 was better. By the time it got to Season 4, it was operating on a different level than anything else on television. To my mind, it definitely only got better as it went on.

It's only two seasons long, but Justified took a huge leap from S1 to S2.

 

I think Justified has a ton of potential, but I can't stand the stand-alone episodes. If they'd do one long story, similar to shows like The Shield, The Wire or Sons of Anarchy, it would be better.

Once Jerry Orbach left the show, I was pretty much done with Law & Order.

Three's Company, A-Team, Airwolf, Dukes of Hazzard, Night Court...all really good shows when I was younger - now, they are great shows that I watch all the time.

I think all shows get really good in about year 3-5 and peak about year 4 or 5. Dexter is a prime example. They'll never top the Lithgow year.

 

I really like the show Homeland. If it peaks in season 3 or 4 wow because season 1 was great.

Chappelle's Show got better almost every new episode.

^ It really was disappointing when he quit the show. It was producing the best sketch work since probably Mr. Show in the mid-90s, maybe even longer. But hey, when you don't like your job and have the means to do something else... why stay?

I think they did a much better job with the stan-alones this season but I do tend to agree overall.

Yea, but Dexter definitely did not get better with age. Just had it's best season when it got older.

I think it got better each season from 1 to 4 and then couldn't keep up with season 4.
