You can't win close games without good middle position players and they need what he brings to the field everyday. Besides Hamilton is nowhere ready for major league pitching yet.

The gauntlet has been thrown down. Ten years of rebuilding and this is the year to go for it. They need BP to win THIS YEAR. Every move being made has one overriding criteria - will this move improve the team's chance of winning this year? Jocketty and the vast majority of the fans agree with that. So on any move anyone thinks about this off season, ask your self that question - will this move improve the team's chances of winning this year? 2013, 14, etc. is not even a consideration if the move doesn't improve the team right now.

January 17, 201214 yr Gives them a 4th outfielder, and some pop off the bench. I like him as a starter better than Heisey.
