Congrats to the Indians. First state title in any sport?? Thats huge!!

 

Technically, no. They won a slow-pitch state title a few years ago but this is the first state title in a sport where teams from the entire state participated.

Congrats to HC football. I played against HC thier 1st real varsity season in 1999, the program has come leaps and bounds. Awesome that Coach Kozerski still brings up John Wysong when talking about the success of the program.

One thing I noticed on the news was coach talking about "keping the kids off the street and out of trouble" Does HC really have the typical "inner city problems" Gangs, drugs, fighting, crime, poverty?? Coach K said it, and I was a little shocked I know the school is in Covington but never really thought of HC in that way being a private catholic school.

I think keeping the kids off the street through sports applies to every school. Kids in private schools get in trouble too if they have too much time and too little involvement. And yes, Holy Cross is a school with students living in/near the inner city.

Great job INDIANS and welcome to the special fraternity of State Champions. This game was won in the trenches by the linemen. HC did not dominate but they did control the line on both sides. they adjusted to what Glasgow did and got the job done. Congrats.

Isn't HC in Latonia? My father in law went there and he grew up in Latonia and the school was only 3 blocks away.

Latonia is a neighborhood in Covington, not its own city.

Congrats to the HC Indians. Well done gentleman. Sidenote: Could do without the "we could beat any team that beat us during the regular season now that we've improved so much". Don't you think any of the teams that beat you also improved or did they all go backwards? Great season and great accomplishment by the Indians.

So sit back and think about how it was when you beat us and think about that compaired to wins we have won. Who's wins feel better?

Lets talk about the wins in week 15 not 3 or 4. Feel good for yourself if you want but you wont feel as good as we do. We did what we had to to get to the top.
