There are several churches around the world and all do weird things. Remember those things are man made and not taught by Christ. As some one who is married a woman of color this has no influence on my faith. I know this is not God's work, but the work of man. This does turn me off from Eastern KY. BUT know that racism is everywhere. My biggest concerns are the folks that hide their feelings. Those are the ones that scare me. At least I can respect their feelings.

Coach, you are saying in one breath not to define all churches by this one church, but in the next breath you are judging all of Eastern KY by the actions of one very small group of Eastern Kentuckians. As others have said, please do not judge us all by this unfortunate instance of ignorance and racism. Most everyone of my Pike County neighbors are disgusted by this action and you can't paint us all with that wide a brush.

December 1, 201114 yr A Church is made up of humans, and humans make mistakes and are not near perfect. There is no color in Heaven. What would Jesus say about this church. Read Revelations chapter 3 where he gets on several Churches for their actions. Nehemiah 13:23:28 talks about intermarrying, I won't post the verses, you can look them up, but remember are we under the Law of Moses today? No, we are not. In the Old Testament we read about nations told not to mix with each other, and in the New Testament the Jews didn't even talk to the Gentiles, so a relationship would never happen. The Jews would travel many miles just so they would not pass thru Samaria. And when the disciple came upon Jesus who was actually talking to a Samaritian woman they were shocked. Jesus wants us to love each other and thats what I would want, this Church does not show love and they are wrong.
