Early in his career Strong was a Grad Assistant at aTm, so there are ties there. Plus it doesn't hurt that he is very familiar with the SEC as they get ready to move in. Not saying he will be offered, or take it if he is. Just saying he is a name they are very interested in early in the process for a lot of reasons...

December 3, 201114 yr He is listening to other schools without question. I also know he is in contract talks with the new UC AD and Pres as well. My instinct is that he stays at UC at least one more year to see where things are headed, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he left...That was, what, 28 years ago? As in, before I was born? Not saying that it won't happen, but claims of ties are a bit thin. Hopefully Jones already has a new job in mind and is distracted tomorrow.

Or is he... :sssh: Any coach wants the best job that fits him, Charlie and his family really like it here. There is talk if the Big 12 goes to 12 the Cards/Bearcats could be moving. If Charlie leaves, they hire another coach. Finding the right fit is what we at Bama have learned.
