Division 1 Coaching rumors.

Featured Replies

I saw on a few college football websites that Coach Leach is being considered for UNC, Ole Miss, Wash. St., Kansas, and at FAU. I have also heard that if Al Golden leaves to go to Penn St (not sure why he would do this), that Leach will be at the top of Miami's list.

I just saw too that Mike Leach is interested in the Tulane job and that he is on North Texas' list.

Neuheisel was supposedly told this morning that he will not be retained.

Any of the schools with openings go after Strong? I would think if Golden goes to Penn State, that "Da U" would be interested.

I would think he will get some interest.

Neuheisel is out at UCLA but will coach against Oregon.

Golden supposedly will sign or has signed a four-year extension at the U over the weekend.

James Franklin will be given a well-deserved raise and extension at Vanderbilt.

Jones to Illinois is picking up steam. So is Freeze to Ole Miss.

Mike Belotti's phone should be busy this week.

Memphis has fired their coach and the AD is resigning. That is an interesting situation to watch.

Derek Dooley appears safe for now.

Mike Leach would be a great pickup

I'm going to guess UK comes open in the next week to 10 days....Who do they go after?

wow, Duley safe? I would fire him just because he lost to UK

Eh, no thanks. I'd rather have a few others out there if Golden were to leave.

Charlie Strong to the U could be interesting to watch. He just signed a nice little extension a few weeks back with the Cards, but with the Big East talent pool going down the drain and Strong's connections to the state of Florida, could draw him away from the Cards.

I wonder if Coach Willie Taggart from WKU is getting any attention at some of these schools like Memphis, Tulane, FAU, etc. He has done a remarkable job turning the Toppers into bowl contenders, but not sure he would be ready for schools like Illinois, Penn St., etc.

Jay Gruden's name has popped up as a potential candidate for UCLA.

Penn State looking at Dan Mullen. Won 9 games last year and was 6-6 this year but lost to LSU/Bama?Hogs. He was born in the state but has no ties to Penn State.

His record against his division is 3-12 as a head coach, doesn't exactly inspire you does it.
