December 4, 201114 yr I don't want to sound mean, but there are certain jobs where if a coach does really well the schools are "stepping Stones" for a coach. We know who they are, and if you can get a Jeff Bower to stay for several and thats a good thing. Most schools don't want an assistant. Look at your major schools and see where they got their guy. But to correct myself I guess all coaches are an assistant once in their life.
December 4, 201114 yr Schad says Malzahn is a strong candidate at Kansas. I hope he doesn't take it that job is a death trap. If Kansas called me today, I'd have to probably turn them down.
December 5, 201114 yr Freeze is expected to be named at Ole Miss. Reports are he will be named officially on Monday. I think this guy once coached Michael Oher in high school.

You would think that way until they mentioned the millions they would pay you and then you would start computing that even if you got canned after three or four years your family would be set for life for generations, and that is in the worst case scenario........lol.

In addition there is some sort of presser tomorrow in Louisville, and a few players will partake, but Strong will not be available.
