DC is Kyle Niederman . My guess is he graduated from Boone in about 1987 and has been on the staff for quite a while. Good guy.

Boone will have trouble scoring in this one. Boone could pull the upset in a very close game and SC has the horses to win pretty big.

Scott Co is the third best team in 6A but and they are light years away from the top two...and a few steps ahead of everyone else. This is a contest to see who gets to get beat down by Trinity the following week. However a congratulations must go out to both teams for making it to this point. Boone's D will be the best thing to watch in this one but I believe their O will dig them too deep a hole.

Ballard was exactly what Scott Co needed in the second round; a good 'gut check' game. Ballard was big, loaded the box and put a lot of pressure on our QB, but Lawler still scored 2 TDs with 210 yards passing and 2 rushing TDs. Dumphord had another 150 yards rushing and 1 TD. Edwards has 70 yards rushing and 1 TD, and Scott County was without Walls who also averages 65 yards and 1 TD per game. Scott County's offense was firing on all cylinders again last Friday, turnover free, and they will put up a lot of points against Boone Co.

 

Defense had the biggest gut check. Missing 2 starters (Walls is back now) and lost 2 more starters mid-game, plus it was the first time all season they had to switch to zone coverage. They fixed everything in practice, had 4 interceptions against Eastern, and ran a fumble back for 6. Boone may get 1 TD.

I hope BC the best of luck and hope they can pull the W out. But seeing both programs so closely, Scott Co is going to be to much for the Rebels. Scott Co- 36 Rebels- 14.

Huge factor in this game will be who scores first. Boone County needs to play from in front to have a chance to pull the upset. If Scott County gets up by 2 TD's, there is potential for a more lopsided win for Scott. If Boone gets in front or keeps it within one score, this game could go down to the wire. If Boone wins, I expect it to be a close score.

SC only has a two players going both ways, but they have enough depth in the positions to give them a rest whenever they need it.
