November 11, 201114 yr RP, what is your beef with the NBA? We've heard everyone else's. What is yours? I don't presume to speak for anyone on this board. Instead, I offer up three distinct possibilities: A) He simply prefers the college game (or the high school game) to the professional game. 2) He is turned off by the whole "millionaires fighting with billionaires over money" thing. D) The NBA cuts into his episodes of "The Closer". But I could be wrong.
November 11, 201114 yr Not that it matters to you, but the "bobcats" aren't the same. When the Hornets were in Charlotte they had a much stronger following than they do now IMO. I'm not from Charlotte but my step-mother is, as is the rest of her family. Some of my earliest memories were my grand father who I admired dearly taking me to the Charlotte Colliseum and always buying me Hornets gear. I still remember going to a game where Zo and Kevin Willis who played for the Hawks at the time got into it and both were ejected. I was a HUGE NBA fan growing up. I can relate to Colts fan from Baltimore on how they felt when their team left town. So, since then I've not cared about the NBA and probably never will.Thanks for the response. I can relate to that now.

The agents were the only one fighting for young guys. I'd say the young guys should unionize and sue

I totally support the players. The owners just know they have all the power so they're trying to force the players into a terrible deal b/c they're rich enough to miss a season.

November 13, 201114 yr Not remotely true Really? Multiple years in the league making multi-million dollar amounts? I don't care how high your standard of living is, you can "make it" with asset values like that.
