If the new allegations are true, and he knew about it (and who are we kidding, if a cover up occurred, Joe Pa definitely knew), I would be shocked if he doesn't. You can't obstruct an investigation and not be punished for it. When a person commits murder, and a friend helps them cover it up, they go to jail to. This is a different situation, but the same principal IMO.

They do, but even what Joe Pa's testified as to what he was told was a crime. The AD or President admitted to the grand jury that the showering and touching was a crime and they didn't report it to police.

He was listed as p.e. teacher "emeritus." He supposedly only came around on behalf of the charity at infrequent times.

Yes but a civil trial could steal get tons of money from his estate if it's filed before he dies. I think that's where this could get really interesting. With all the blood sucking lawyers (myself included) out there, someone will try and sue Joe Pa for at least one of the victims.

Depends on Pennsylvania's immunity statutes, many times university's escape liability on immunity. See Mike Leach v. Texas Tech right now. Joe Pa will probably be the easiest person to actually collect a pay check from.

Notre Dame is a private school, Penn State is public. A public school would fall under state immunity laws that a private school wouldn't. These are the same types of immunities that often times will prevent a judge, prosecutor, or police officer from being sued for their actions on the job. Or why you can't sue a municipality. States are starting to soften their stances on immunity for government entities, but it's not gone and in many states it is still very prevalent. I have no idea where Pennsylvania is on this issue though.

Something wasn't reported to him. A 10 year old being RAPED by a former assistant, in his locker room was reported to him. And he reported it to his boss, and then did nothing else.

Read the grand jury transcripts. Joe Pa claims he wasn't told about a rape, makes it sound more like fondling was suggested to him. McQueary says he told Joe Pa that the boy was being raped.

^Oh, so does Joe Pa think fondling a 10 year old boy is appropriate behavior? I mean, I know he's old and pretty senile, but the guy is a disgusting human being for not reporting it to the authorities.
