You can think less of me for my job all you want, fact is I help people every day that are innocent. I help a lot more that are guilty, but in my line of work all I do is ensure that the system treats them fairly and their constitutional rights aren't violated along the way to their punishment for their crimes. But, at the end of the day I do know cops hold a lot of the power with DA's in almost every plea entered, the cop had to agree to the terms of it.

I just want to say, I know defense attorney's get a lot of flack for their job but I for one thank you! It's a hard job to do and doesn't get enough thanks. Without you, everyone would be guilty!

I'm not sure that he was on campus with kids after that, but he did still run that charity. Ex players have said he was still very visible within the program and that they did work for his charity. At the very least shouldn't Joe Pa have had questions about his friend showering with a 10 year old?

Thank you. It is a very thankless job, victims families hate you, your clients hate you, and your clients families hate you most days. It's something I live with and don't give a lot of second thought too but most people look at us as the bad guys, when we really aren't. I've never tried to pass a lie to the court and never will. If your guilty I will make sure the system does you right, and get you the best deal I can and that's it.

I hadn't seen that either, the rabbit hole is definitely getting deeper. It's possible too that a victims family disposed of the DA as well out of anger and wanting retribution for him not doing his job, that or he was about to go public out of guilt and was silenced.

I think I am gonna wait on the facts to come out completely, I believe Joe to be a man of god, integrity and respect, he has done nothing to prove otherwise. I think sooner or later it will show that what he was told was either vague or shady, and he done what was right...I think he will regret not doing more as he said in hindsight. But hindsight is always 20/20, If it comes out that I am wrong and evidence supports It I will be the first to say so.

What I dislike is how Penn State handled Paterno. If you are going to fire a guy, it needs to be done face to face and not over the telephone. That is a classless move in my opinion. Especially when he has put so much into the University.

So Penn State is in the wrong for firing him over the phone, but Paterno is free from guilt for not reporting the incident to the proper authorities?

With the new allegations coming out, if true, Paterno will rot in prison. Rumors are a massive cover-up was put in place back in 1999, three years before the shower incident.

Joe Pa admits that a grad assistant told him Sandusky and a 10 year old boy were showering together and at the very least some touching happened that made the GA uncomfortable. The AD or President admits to a grand jury that at the very least they were told a crime was committed against this boy and they didn't report it to police. This guy was still allowed access to PSU's facilities up until this week. That for me is way more than enough to fire him and criticize the way he handled the situation.

One of the things that is going to happen I believe is that this story is going to be covered like it has never been covered before. Before the "I love Joe and PSU" media would not dig too deeply for fear of their jobs or lost credentials with PSU.

 

Now the National Media with big time investigative journalists (think Woodward and Bernstein in Football jersies) are going to start digging and a WHOLE LOT more is going to now see the light of day. And the result will be very very ugly when it is all said and done.

I can see having a different opinion on who's a good player and who's better than who at something. I'm shocked that not everyone is on the same page here. There is no possible way anyone backing Joe Pa read the Grand Jury report or is fathoming that at the very least this 02 incident should have never allowed this rapist on PSU property ever again. Mind boggling.
