I Think I Took the NBA for Granted

Featured Replies

Anyone else feeling this way?

I'm not one to really watch a lot of games throughout the season, but I did follow it through Sportscenter, as well as enjoyed watching some great plays on the top 10. With more and more UK Wildcats starting to make a splash in the league, I could have seen myself getting a little more invested in certain teams. When the news of the games being cancelled rolled around, I wasn't really concerned. However, now I'm realizing that I might be missing it a little.

I loved the NBA in the 90's. Watched every Bulls game I could on WGN. It's like I want to get back into it, I just haven't been able to yet.

I'll start missing it around Christmas time if there are still no games.

As big as a b-ball fan that I am I will say that I haven't missed it at all.

As long as I have high school and college I'm good.

This is when I notice. I watch a bunch of the early season matchups, then the Christmas games, but then I really don't pick back up again until after the college season is over. That said, given how much I loved last season and the playoffs, I probably would have made it a bigger part of my routine had it come back on time this year. I'm really missing it. The fact that I haven't seen a "World Peace" jersey in action yet is really getting to me.

No worries. I watched a guy named God's Gift Achiuwa play for St. John's the other night.

If they don't agree to the deal they have on the table today it's going to get even worse IMO. Not looking promising at all.

I'm going to miss it here in about a month or two.

Wait until Bowl season is over. It's really going to suck watching Hockey highlights for an hour on sportscenter.

^ Sportscenter still shows highlights?

I'm close with this sentiment.

I will miss it more as time goes by but I've been so busy I haven't had time to care as much.

I have not missed it a bit.

As long as they have enough of a season to hold playoffs, I will be ok. Playoff time is about the only time I ever get really interested in the NBA.

I miss it. I knew I would miss it though, so it really isn't unexpected. I'm probably one of the few who thinks NBA>College even though I'm the HUGEEE UK fan.

Haven't missed it since they hired Bob Cousy to come in and dismantle the Royals.
