December 7, 201114 yr Author Ken_Rosenthal Ken Rosenthal Buerhle to #Marlins: 4 yrs, $58M. #MLB Like it! Really wanted some rotation help and preferred a LHer who could eat a TON of quality innings.

December 7, 201114 yr As of now, no member of the Marlins FO or Hanley himself has came out and said anything. Not saying it isn't there, but everything up to this point has came from a "source". I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until then... Buster Olney just reported it on ESPN radio..
December 7, 201114 yr Author Buster Olney just reported it on ESPN radio..Samson immediately refuted it though.
December 7, 201114 yr Author I've always really liked Buerhle. Good sign.Me too. He has had 11 straight seasons of 200+ IP with only three of them having an ERA out of the 3's. Also check out his stats vs the NL: 24-6 with a 3.32 ERA in 37 starts. May have paid a little more than he is worth, but I think it's a significant upgrade to the rotation and see him pitching very well for Miami.
December 7, 201114 yr If I had to make a predicition... Pujols deal is done. 9 yrs - 198 mil. 10th year option. Probably some options and a heavy loaded front end of deal.
December 7, 201114 yr Buster: And the twists and turns continue with Pujols talks: source says STL has nine-year offer on table, not 10. Cards cancel evening presser w/ Mo as well...
December 7, 201114 yr Looks like the Marlins are out. jcrasnick Jerry Crasnick Source says Pujols continues to negotiate with clubs other than #Cardinals. But Albert will not be going to Florida.
December 7, 201114 yr Buster: And the twists and turns continue with Pujols talks: source says STL has nine-year offer on table, not 10. Cards cancel evening presser w/ Mo as well... Wasn't 9 years the original offer a while back?
December 7, 201114 yr The Reds front office is just going to sit on their hands yet again....And they wonder why they can't get more fan support....
December 7, 201114 yr The Reds front office is just going to sit on their hands yet again....And they wonder why they can't get more fan support.... We might get Cody Ross and 70 pounds lighter Da Meat Hook. Plus someone from the Rule-5 Draft. Sounds promising. Edited December 7, 201114 yr by HammerTime
December 7, 201114 yr We might get Cody Ross and 70 pounds lighter Da Meat Hook. I know I commented on it during the season, but Walt has been VERY questionable the past year and a half or so....He's sat pat when it was obvious to everyone a move needed to be made, then when he finally makes moves, he does so way too late.
