NFL QBs have terrible days occasionally. Let's remember that.

 

This was a good win for CCH considering the extremely rough day Blake Bir had. It happens. Fortunately, the offense was good enough to overcome it.

 

I am struggling to think of a runner who I have enjoyed watching as much as Gabe Gray.

 

Expected more out of RC's QB. Solid athlete. Arm was lacking. Looked like a good leader.

Tip of the hat to the RC supporters who made the long trip and brought a lot of enthusiasm. Loved the cat playing the trumpet.

Sam Dressman is going to be fun to watch over the next couple of years. So many ways to use him.

 

How many yards did he have today? I don't think he even touched the ball until the 3rd quarter where he took one about 50 yards.

It will be later tonight before we have some stats.

 

The power upstairs at around the 11th minute of the third quarter (we had to sit upstairs due to Rowan Count Radio station needing space) went out and it took a bit of time to get an extension cord down into the press box below and by the time we got the computer rebooted (it would be nice to have a newer laptop and a battery backup system hint--hint) we were too far into the third quarter to be able to catch up. We wrote every play down the old fashion way but will have to retype everything back into the computer to get the stats.

 

BTW, I told everybody this team wasn't as bad as a lot of folks thought. Rowan County problem is that they only play around 14/15 kids and it's tough to play so few, when the other team platoons.

 

Also don't blame Bir completely....and while Blake didn't have his best game in the fist half, there were at least two passes that if caught would have changed the tune of the game and those passes were totally dropped balls!

Gray had 3 TDs and went over 1500 yards rushing for the season. I am guessing he had 150 yards today.
