Whose record is it? I'm sure that the head coach has had conversations with Jude's parents/Jude/Assisant coaches AD/.

 

Like Rockmom said, Jude doesn't tell the AD what teams to play and the coach when to play him and take him out. Great job kid! Its the other teams to stop him..See scores on the palyoffs, its the teams job to keep the score close.

Jude did his job, and I don't think anything can or should detract from that. You play who's on your schedule and you do your best each game. He earned it.

Question for all those ripping RP. Tell me honestly how you feel the sentiment would trend on this board, had Coach Mueller used the same MO as Coach Matney to achieve passing records for Pat Towles? Let's say he didn't pull him halfway through secondquarter in multiple games, rack up double digit TD games and perhaps even a 1000 yard passing night. Honestly, how do you think that would have been recieved on here? I seriously doubt we would have one post, saying give the kid his props, he can't help who they played, yada yada yada.

no way could he have broken Robinsons record at Lone Oak. That 1 will stand for a long time. Highland schedule will not allow Towles (which is deffinately a better QB than Robinson was) the ability to throw 92 td in a season. Their offense is not made that way either.And yes Lone Oak and Haskins ran the score up tremendously on far inferior competition that year to get the record. But 4 yrs. later nobody remembers that. So i say great job JJ. That is what highschool football is about. Setting goals and seeing if you can achieve them. As for Matney i know nothing of him or his coaching staff but i would have done the same thing if i had a kid that has busted his tail for me for 4 yrs. and was that close to a state record. Knowing the next week he had to play one of the best teams in kentucky highschool history for two reasons. 1) because he probably loves the kid and wants him to break the record. 2) to take that" hype" of setting the record out of the equation going into a tough week of game planning. JMHO

 

Patrick would have had multiple 10+ Td games. Also throw in the fact they may play up to 15 games this season, I think 100 wouldn't have been out of the question. And if that had happened Pat and the record would have been trashed on here.

Yep and is ranked #1 at 182lbs this preseason.

I can't speak for everyone else but I have always been a big hater of Wilt's record against a bunch of guys that were 7 inches shorter than him. Comparing Jude to Wilt's record is a huge reach though.
