I don't know, they don't let me on if I wanna talk about Bama.^^^

Glad to see how players got to play against a team they didn't match up well. Nelson County fans don't feel bad, Male lost to X 49-7 and it was over by the 2nd half. And thats who we play friday.

With the new Thomas Nelson HS, this will be one of the rare cases where splitting a school in half (or close) will help the football program. The new Thomas Nelson will be drawing kids from parts of Nelson County that, in the past, haven't been known for churning out many football players. Essentially, Nelson County HS will drop 2 or 3 classes, yet still get the athletes they've had over the years.

Jim Schue and Hearsay, please correct me if I'm wrong?

Can you please explain this post further? Interested in its content.

Looks like an attempt at a back handed slap from a fan of a team that was beaten badly. It does not belong in this thread. Tigers win while expected was a good one for all the guys who have worked hard all year but have not had the chance to play.

57-7

Sophomore Charles Waker keeps getting better and better! Four rushes for 80 yards and two receptions for 40 yards. He is becoming a huge threat from multiple postions on the field. George Stone even ran a couple of times for 38 yards. He really bursts through the hole! Could he provide some offensive spark against Trinity? Austin Davis, another sophomore, is on the threshold of becoming a devastating running back. His running style reminds me of Deuce Finch- power with speed. He and Walker are going to be outstanding backs over the next two years for X.

Austin Davis is going to be very good. He's is 5'9 200 right now and i guarantee by his senior year he will be 5'9 225.

TNHS will pull from the Boston and New Haven area, and neither of those schools has its own MS team. They have, however, been playing as a combined Southwest Nelson team for the past few years. NC figures to drop to 4A if my numbers are correct, which would land them in District 5 with the likes of Marion, Boyle, Mercer, LexCath and Taylor.

While they'd be in a smaller classification (and, of course, stay far away from playoff matchups with the St. Xs and Trinitys of the world), I don't know that Boyle and LexCath every year would be preferable to CH and Meade.

I do think NC will be a lot better next year, though, although many will say it's just because of dropping in class, and those many would not be totally correct. Cards only had three returning starters this year, so they'll be very experienced next year and figure to improve by default.

You must not be asking the right people?:lol:

Someone said earlier there was five QB's to play for X in the game. I know who 1 and 2 are but 3, 4 and 5?

I like the big Soph. Hayden Ford. I remeber him at Saint MM and he could play. Last year as a freshman, he took the team down the field against Highlands like a real leader. He broke his foot halfway through the first quarter and that was pretty much it for the rest of the years.

This year, the same luck breaking his hand at the beginning of his JV year.

He got in late against Nelso and ran a couple of plays. He had gained speed and confidence. I will be looking forward to seeing him come out next summer. He will be competing for the starting QB spot.

Least you had the class enough to try that many different players. I guess when your so caught up with the national papers you become callouus to idea of sportsmanship. The few times my Alma Mater came across ST. X they have a grasp on how you should win. There people would openly discuss football and players from the opposing side with parents from the other team. Guess who we played tonight???? Best of luck thruought the playoffs.:ylsuper:

Not sure what game he is referencing... HHS maybe?. Because T's starting RB had 2 carries for the entire game and they didn't throw a single pass in the second half. Tough to keep the score down when your opponent has 4 turnovers in the 1st quarter. I am certain X & T both got LOTS of kids in on Friday. In fact, I would bet the farm that the combined scores of these games could have been 200-0 even with the running clocks had T and X wanted to send a message to the KHSAA that these games are pointless. Also, X has to be thrilled that H won so that the Tigers have a home game AND it has got to be a better tune-up for that looming round 3 game. I am pulling for X, T, DeSales and HC to all advance next week!

Not to be petty, but could the school board have maybe gotten a little more original with the naming of the new school? The two largest public schools in Nelson County both have "Nelson" as their main moniker. Just saying.

Tony, the five quarterbacks who played for the Tigers Friday night were Alex Mattingly (Sr.), Austin Gahafer (Jr.), Clay Bollinger (Jr.), Matt Lasley (Jr.), and Hayden Ford (So.). Does knowing the answer to the question qualify me as a consultant to the Bisig Communications St. X. radio team?

Hey TD........are you out there?
