I told people this game would be closer than people think that haven't seen Knox. They have had a solid team the last 3 or so years. Really big Dline+Canady is a nice athlete. Not suprised at all by the score. I think Boyle will beat Rock a lot worse than Knox. Rock's banged up I think.

Knox offense not bad. Defense not very good. Just my opinion. Canady of course very good. Good job by knox not giving up and they did of course have a say in the fumbles but it was about half and half. Score could have easily been 3 or 4 td.

 

Just my opinion of course.

Couple of guys on D stepped up tonight. 93 not a factor. Was about 30 percent at best. 22 played DE for first time all year and it hurt us a little but D did what they had to do to win.

I guess if your going to have a game with 6 turnovers, at least it happened in the first round. It can not happen again. Well, i guess it can, but we shouldn't expect to come out with a W if it does.

Yeah but only 6 or 7 plays a game if that much. Meant every down kinda playing. Almost never works with DE's in practice. The most all year was last week when Mason and Keith both went down. Muntz also left game last night. Need him and keith back. If he can't go I don't know who starts next to Hester at ILB ?

Did we lose an O lineman last night? Didn't see Griffith most of the game.

This game was a prime example of what can happen if you don't protect the ball. Simple and plain. I still expect to beat Highlands here at Boyle the day after Thanksgiving. Highlands has had plenty of games where they played out of character and still won. The 5 fumbles we had(and lost all 5) will not happen again. That I can guarantee.

I don't understand some of the comments I'm seeing. Boyle beat a very good Knox Central team by two touchdowns. I don't understand how some are downplaying the win.

Wouldn't the game last year when they lost to Ryle be considered a game out of character? Hasn't Highlands won a game in which they lost the turnover battle? That is what I meant by my statement.

 

And no, it wasn't pretty at all. I can only imagine what the film session will be like. I don't recall being that disappointed in a win in quite some time.
