BTW, did Thieleman get to play? I heard he was out for this game because of an injury.

Thieleman played on a few series, re-aggravated his ankle and came out, then went back in later.

If Boyle is going to win a title they need to blow out the likes of Knox, correct?

 

This game was a prime example of what can happen if you don't protect the ball. Simple and plain. I still expect to beat Highlands here at Boyle the day after Thanksgiving. Highlands has had plenty of games where they played out of character and still won. The 5 fumbles we had(and lost all 5) will not happen again. That I can guarantee.

No excuse for the fumbles. We did all we could to keep Knox in the game. Canady is a heck of a player. He was a non factor in the first half but he showed up big in the 2nd half. Very impressive player.

 

Woulda, coulda, shoulda....yeah...it shoulda been 49-14 Final.

None of them were unforced. Knox flat out stripped the ball every time. One was taken away from the back while he was standing up and they returned it for a touchdown that was called back. The Knox defense went after the ball on every play and did a great job of recovering the fumbles they forced. 5-5. You'd think the Boyle rb's would have been aware to protect the ball a lot better. 5 fumbles amongst two rb's............

While he's not as good as Rees was(yet), his game and style is a lot like Rees. Seph has a very bright future. Very bright.
