I don't understand some of the comments I'm seeing. Boyle beat a very good Knox Central team by two touchdowns. I don't understand how some are downplaying the win.

 

Only because in a lot of Boyle's fans minds we left points on the field. Lots of points.... and we haven't done that all year. Not in that fashion. That is a credit to Knox. I'd like to think that you'd be just as disappointed in Knox's play if the roles were reversed.

Thank you. I refuse to take a defeatist attitude into any game against any opponent. If we lose next week, so be it. Life goes on. I can't go into a game thinking we will lose. I don't know how to do that.

This game was a prime example of what can happen if you don't protect the ball. Simple and plain. I still expect to beat Highlands here at Boyle the day after Thanksgiving. Highlands has had plenty of games where they played out of character and still won. The 5 fumbles we had(and lost all 5) will not happen again. That I can guarantee.

Wouldn't the game last year when they lost to Ryle be considered a game out of character? Hasn't Highlands won a game in which they lost the turnover battle? That is what I meant by my statement.

 

 

And no, it wasn't pretty at all. I can only imagine what the film session will be like. I don't recall being that disappointed in a win in quite some time.

I was just making a general statement about a team that played out of character. It happens. I am sure it has happened to Highlands also. We were the better team last night but we played out of character. I have never seen us lose 5 fumbles. Therefore we were out of character.
