Brandon was not on the 95 team. He graduated in 1993. The RB you saw in 1995 was good, but nowhere near a Brandon Berger. He was one of the best RB's to graduate from BW for sure, top 2 in my opinion. I think this is a very nice team this year, but not going to make the Top 5 BW teams of all time. I do not think this is the fastest or the most talented group in BW history either. It is certainly one of the fastest, but I don't know if I would call it the fastest. This won't even be a topic of conversation unless BW wins state. I know Mayfield has had BW's number, but I would take some of the teams that I saw come through BW in the 90's against any Mayfield team that I have seen. They have had some serious talent in recent years, but I don't remember much noise coming out of Mayfield in the 90's

I know Mayfield has had BW's number, but I would take some of the teams that I saw come through BW in the 90's against any Mayfield team that I have seen. They have had some serious talent in recent years, but I don't remember much noise coming out of Mayfield in the 90's

 

In the 90's Mayfield went to the finals 5 times and won 2 state championships. One in A and the other in AA. Mayfield made plenty of noise in the 90's.

Lubrecht was good but Berger and Wolfeck were the 2 best I have seen come through BW. JMO

Good question. And that is a big concern because Mayfield was so much faster than Beechwood last year.

 

And of course no one ever gets faster as they keep working on it.

My how things have changed there over time. I recall Paris comming to Paducah and playing us in the Purchase Bowl in the 80's. I recall we won and I think ended a winning streak of theirs at the time but they were a force back then. What has changed since the 80's? #kids, coaching?
