October 25, 201114 yr I agree that by and large Obama has done well both home and abroad. I don't think anyone else could/would have done better given the circumstances. Maybe it's a matter of perspective. Personally, my lot is better than prior to his election. I was able to find a new job with comparable pay, lower cost health benefits and 401K. My 401K has been gaining, not leaps and bounds, but modestly. And modest gains are fine for me. Many in my family are seeing improvement in several areas, such as promotions & lower cost health insurance as well.

The economy has sputtered along fighting Obama's economic failures and your 401K has grown despite Obama's waste of stimulus tax dollars. The killing of some terrorist leaders happened on Obama's watch, because he knew he had to do something. He knew he would have the wrath of the majority of Americans on him if he did not do something. Other than helping to eliminate Gadhafi, he has done nothing major, unless you count bowing to foreign leaders and his tour of apologizing for America's greatness.

You clearly have to be a strict party guy to to not see the problems he has at home. There are millions of people who feel as you, I and Trinity alum feel that Obama has done a good job at home considering the circumstances and predicaments he has faced while in office. What is even more ironic and funny to me is that Obama has been in the center(or too close to the center) of things as opposed to the far left/liberal side of things he has done(excluding Obamacare). That would explain why some democrats haven't supported Obama as vocally as republicans have opposed him. He has actually been more willing to compromise with republicans than his fellow democrats in some cases.

It's his domestic policies that will continue to erode the nation.. The American people were stupid enough to elect both Bushes, one of them twice, so I guess anything is possible when surrounded by stupidity.

Government can hinder the growth of the economy with its policies. Yet some can overcome the roadblocks that government creates, but not all. History shows that the New Deal was a failure, lots of government roadblocks. Tax cuts in Harding-Coolige, Kennedy, Reagan, and G.W. Bush's terms helped to reduce roadblocks that led to growth.

October 25, 201114 yr What has been his foreign policy? Can it be stated with any consistency?Kind of wondering the samething. Other than killing Bin Laden what has he accomplished? And how much credit can any President get for that? The information that lead to the killing of Bin Laden came when Bush was still in office. I applaud the POTUS for continuing to be tough against terrorism but his foreign policy overall hasn't been all that.
