Will Obama's Foreign Policies Get Him Re-Elected?

Featured Replies

Will Obama's foreign policy be a factor in the 2012 elections??

http://www.cnn.com/2011/10/24/politics/obama-foreign-policy/

including the killings of terrorist leaders Osama bin Laden and Anwar al-Awlaki, and now the toppling of the Gadhafi regime in Libya without the loss of any U.S. service members -- have made Obama seemingly invulnerable to the quadrennial Republican attack line.

The question is whether it will matter a year from now, when voters decide if he should get a second term.

Thoughts?

You can guarantee they will publicize this message heavily but if the American people are smart enough (and fed up) they won't forget the unemployment rate and his poor investments. i.e. Billions to a solar company that went bankrupt

If the people of America are stupid enough to elect Obama again it won't matter what his "foreign policies" are. It's his domestic policies that will continue to erode the nation..

It's ironic that when he was running in 2008 his critics said his weakness would be foreign policy and he won essentially due to the economy. Now he has a solid foreign policy record to stand on but a weak economy.

He will win reelection because he has done a very good job both at home and abroad.

I'm struggling with the "at home" and "very good job" part.

Agreed. I was one of those critics that thought he wouldn't be good on foreign affairs.

Well, the 'home' part confuses me. You clearly have to be a strict party guy to to not see the problems he has at home.

National debt increased 4.2 Trillion

US spends 4.2 Billion dollars more than what it takes in.

2.2 Million jobs lost.

3 Million more Americans live in poverty

4 Million Bankruptcies

2.4 Million homes foreclosed

Gas Prices have risen more than 80%

Heath Premiums are up 13%

That's a very good job?

You would have fit in well in Jonestown.

A record of toppling US-friendly and old, forgotten middle-east leaders and letting the vacuum get filled with the Muslim brotherhood and Sharia law is good foreign policy?

BTW, if the foreign policy is so great shouldn't Hillary get the credit? Maybe she should run in the primaries if this the thought process.

What world are you living in? Do I blame Obama for the failure of the Federal Government to take care of the people during his 4 years? Absolutely not. Has he made the right decisions/proposals to lift us out of this deep (very deep) (Really really deep) hole? No. He has not. It doesn't take an Ivy League education to understand you cannot (and I can't emphasize this enough) spend 4.2 trillion dollars and have the Federal Reserve printing currency out of thin air and expect the economy to merely turn itself around. Also, you definitely do not "spread the wealth". GEEZ! Do your research on Great Britain in the 70s, ask them how that turned out.

He will win reelection because he has done a very good job both at home and abroad.

I completely disagree with his foreign policies. We cannot spend billions of dollars policing other countries when the only way we can afford it is to print money which causes inflation and devalues our dollar. We are in an economic crisis, take care of the people in the United States first and then we can talk about influencing democracy.

When foreign affairs were talked about during the 2008 election, it had to do with the war and taking out Al Qaeda. Overall he has done a pretty good job in terms of doing so. Now with policing the world, I know where you are coming from and the burden it has put on American taxpayers.

 Take off the rose colored glasses! No way you can say with a straight face that he's done even a remotely good job at home!
