Boston Red Sox Clubhouse Was Animal House

Featured Replies

Apparently, the Boston Red Sox actually were fat, drunk and stupid this season. According to reports out of Boston, several members of the Sox pitching staff spent the majority of the season drinking, eating fried chicken and playing video games during ACTUAL games.

Unbelievable.

Sounds like a good time to me.

Can't you just picture a bunch of drunks sitting in the back laughing during the game? That's so ridiculous.

Sounds like the team has put out a hit contract on Theo and Francona.

Obviously that would make for a very toxic club house and it showed.

I think the story would be more believable if it said Lackey was tanked when he took the mound. :D

I love how this story includes "eating fried chicken". Is that like a serious offense? :idunno:

No control over the ball when they get called to the mound I guess, but to be honest if I were them I'd be more concerned with getting my Xbox controller all greasy.

But think about it, all this going on and they lost the play offs by one game. They did play horrible down the end, but still...

Think about it though...if you drink beer and eat fried chicken 162 times during the year...

I'm glad they choked.

:thumb::thumb::thumb: I know some people were saying they would love to see Francona manage the Reds. I don't think I would want a manager who has no control over the clubhouse.

Makes me think of Major League the movie lol. One of my all time favorites.

I was thinking the same thing; it also sounds highly in common with league softball at many places.
